Ref is infuriating. 2 guys end up in a heap and free to Limerick. Baffling. Should have been just thrown in.
Free after free to Limerick now
Cork 1-23 Limerick 1-23
Cork really throwing this game away. They were in control until Limerick scored the goal
Cork fella falls over and it is a free to Limerick????
Cork 1-26 Limerick 1-24 final whistle
Ref made that a lot harder than it should have been.
Great to get the win though!! Great team performance. They are some team!!
Brilliant altogether. Too tight on the end should have been handier.
Great win considering we beat 16 men..brilliant stuff.
Not the first time, or only code, a Cork U20 team has had to play 16 recently
Ref was brutal for both sides. Too whistle happy
fantastic win, the sort of game we were losing for years. should have been more comfortable but great to dig it out at the end
In the first half I'd agree. Gave some crazy calls to Limerick in the 2nd half. Those few calls for steps were ridiculously pedantic.
Limerick scored 15 frees, missed 2 or 3. Cork scored 7 frees, missed 1 I think. He absolutely rode Cork in last 15 mins.
We almost left that one behind - butchered a few goal chances in the second half. However the courage the lads showed in added time was great. We'd have lost games like that before, but the lads stuck to it and some great points at the end. Ref was definitely giving Limerick soft frees particularly in the last 15 minutes. Won't be easy against Galway
Great 2 days for Cork hurling. Win at weekend and it be a great week.
Brian Hayes and Jack Cahalane have an All-Ireland win and two Munster final victories in the past two and a half weeks!
Some going!
Yes. I couldn't understand that one.
Forgot to say that the win tonight puts us level with Tipp in the U20/21 Munster Hurling Championship wins. 21 each now!!
What a fantastic win. Hurled well and absolutely dug in hard in injury time to score 2 points having being dragged back to level from 6 up.
Ref did his best to ruin the game though. So many poor decisions, primarily for Limerick in the closing stages, they could have been costly.
All our big games in recent weeks have been won by Cork (apart from the obvious).
Some great wins and serious talent coming through, in both codes, with medals in their póca and hopefully a few more before seasons end.
Next up, the minor footballers v Kerry on Friday.
Just watched the last few minutes of the U-20 final there again. We were actually lucky enough because Limerick missed two very scoreable frees in the last few minutes.
That would have meant extra-time. But one of those fees was given for a foul where I couldn't see where a foul was committed after watching it a good few times.
Most Limerick people I saw posting online acknowledged that Cork were the better side over the whole game though in fairness to them.
Cork minor team to play Kerry tomorrow....
Cork team for the U20 All-Ireland Semi-Final against Offaly.........
Amm, fierce football strongholds named there 🤣
I think they are the U20 hurlers clubs instead! 😂
West Cork as a football stronghold is just a myth at this stage.
Beat Galway next and we'll have some underage lads of Teddy Mac levels of quick trophy hauls 😂
Cork 1-9 Kerry 0-6 HT. point for point until the last 5 min with Cork stretching their lead
Kerry goal after HT but Cork reply with 2 points, 1-11 to 1-6 after 10 min
Cork 1-15 v 1-14 Kerry
Fantastic win in fairness.
Great to beat Kerry at minor and U20 this year!!
Cork team for tomorrow
Mind boggling leaving Barrett and Connolly benched especially that Dalton is back on the bench. O Flynn has shown nothing to deserve being started again and Kingston very debatable.
kingston is a rolls Royce when on fire but he drifts out for long periods but does always come up with a few scores but I would prefer his speed off the bench second half.
