It's been a pleasure folks, but boards.ie has lost the run of itself - and subsequently its entire community.
Been here since 2003 in various guises/accounts but they've finally put the nails in the coffin with the vBulletin port.
Hopefully see some of you again on the more prominent Discord channels.
While I'm not leaving yet I can't argue with anything you've said. Unmitigated disaster.
Is there a particular discord that people use?

I love boards, but I just can't get back into it since the downtime and the difficult to use new site.
I don't know boards.ie isn't that difficult to use and I'm sure over time it will improve. I remember another website I frequent also done mad changes and everyone was upset and some members even created a rival website and tried to get everyone to go over to that site and I think some did but anyway the point is the website eventually recovered and is back as busy as it was before the big changes. It took a while but it got there in the end.
Its a disaster alright, will only pop into the crypto forum from time to time now.

Quickly? that was a slow bull that started in April last year and continued till May this year, a one year bull. Eth went from 100 to 4000. As loopy as this market is, I don't know what people expect. All the hype and "good news" is spent, some late-comers might think this is something and fuel it, but the exact same thing happened in 2018.
Indeed anything could happen because this market is insane, but I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see a general bear kick in for the next 3 to 4 years.
Is there any reason you believe that other than past trends or do you think that Bitcoin will continue to reflect its previous trends going forward? I don't really understand that, surely the external world environment impacts also?
I'm still a theta bull nothing has changed. Mainnet was dragged down by the btc slump over the last month. It affected the whole market so nothing was going to pump.
I will keep you entertained for another while yet and the theta thread will get its due updates

The video aspect has gone nowhere as of now and one could probably say going the other way, everyone and their dog is trying to get in to NFT - it's not something to boast about right now. Many players in the NFT game - only a few will survive and Theta is not top of the list for me

I'd agree on the nfts, it's a side hustle.
People will only take theta seriously when it powers Samsung TV plus or something along these lines.
You could be right that's its not top of the list for many, it is dependent on external enterprises for adoption while other top projects are not.
However I think fundamentals and community are strong, good number of edge nodes and over 65% staked now. Its catching up to ADA in that regard with a lot less supply. Let's just see what happens in the next few months.
