Heading down to these locations from the beginning of August for 2 wks. Looking for some golf but not gonna pay the prices of waterville et al. Any suggestions of any other locations with reasonable rates.. TIA.
Bantry is not too far from Skibbereen and would be worth a look ,Macroom is more inland but a nice course and reasonable fees , mind you these are personal favourites ,there is a superb pitch and putt course at the Warren, Rosscarbery.
Cheers, trying to keep it with 30mins of where were staying just so I'm back early enough in the morning.. hopefully weather holds a bit.. down in God's country I'm told it never rains😜
I was down in Bantry last month. Checked for open days in the local clubs and ended up playing Skibbereen. Grand little course and reasonable rates, ended up having a very enjoyable round with 3 locals.
If you are GUI, Waterville have a special rate for that. It's still 140, but better than the 250 on the site
Ya have a GUI, but can't justify over €100 for a round..don't think I'll be playing Kerry this year.
Had looked at skibb course, good to hear it's a nice course. I'll probably play that a few times to make up for the 1st wk in Kerry with no golf..👍🏼
Dooks have a good few open days this summer (Fridays) and isn't too far from Cahersiveen. Well worth the €60
