Newton said a lot of things (much of which he plagiarised from Robert Hooke and Edmond Halley and other greater minds before him) and was generally a sour and petty character. He was absolutely wrong in his theories of orbital mechanics and gravitation and even he himself admitted that they were only ideas without experimental support.

Don't get me wrong, Principia was an impressive publication, very eloquently put together and one could not but be impressed with "his" laws of motion, laws of geometry and other real world physical laws which have been found to be incredibly accurate experimentally for years after (and prior) to his publication.

I find it hilarious that NASA have gone all-in on his gravitation and orbital mechanics thoeries given how erroneous and inaccurate they have been found time and time again 😁

He was absolutely wrong. And it was people like you treating him like a celebrity for the last 300 years is what allowed his error filled theories make it into mainstream teaching. Most Astronomy/astrophysics etc. courses are a joke!

The fact that NASA haven't verified any of his theories by means of experimentation speaks volumes (i.e. either they never went to space or Newton was wrong!)

Even Neil DeAss Tyson is in disagreement with NASA and Newton, but I bet you don't read things like this on your space-fan sites...

Physicists and scientists understand how gravity works and what happens in NEO and can do the simple newtonian equations, most lay-people understand as well but might not be able to do the equations.

The issue you seem to have and what trios up a lot of conspiracy theorists is that you don't understand the difference between acceleration and velocity.

I'm curious how they fake all this footage as you seem to be claiming that it's impossible to have zero-g unless you're in space.

Almost correct - I don't "think" I know for sure. If you had any grasp of history you would know how wrong Newton was. Thousands upon thousands of lives lost at sea because of his faulty theories.

Gravity, according to Newton's Law of Gravitation should only reduce a miniscule amount at 200 miles (where the ISS supposedly is) and at 53 miles (where Branson supposedly went). In the Branson stream they claimed repeatedly to pass into the region where gravity is zero (which of course is impossible) and of course the footage in the cabin showed the "astronauts" floating around enjoying the endless wonders of zero gravity! That is of course until they entered back into a region where gravity magically turns back into 9.81m/s2 after 40 seconds...

No, in fact the vehicle accelerates at 9.81 m/s2 (or thereabouts) towards earth the instant the engine is cut off. The ISS also accelerates at that rate (slightly less due to its distance from the Earth). The reason the passengers feel they are experiencing weightlessness is because they too are accelerating at the same rate and in the same direction as their craft.

Branson and others might say they are experiencing zero g but this is simply loose non-scientific language rather than a lie. They are experiencing free-fall with their vehicle which means they are not pressed down into their seats or the floor and can float about in the capsule.

No, Branson, Bezos and everyone on the ISS experiences weightlessness because they are in free fall, not because they are outside the influence of gravity.

If it's not possible to fake zero g using parabolic flights, how was the footage for these flights faked? How is the footage from the ISS faked?

So you accept that a rocket was launched, there were people on board, it went really high, it went really fast, the people floated around the cabin of the capsule for a few minutes and then the capsule came back down to earth again.

Other than you clearly don't understand what happened which enabled them to unbuckle and float around for a bit, I really don't get what it is that you are trying to claim?

You seem to be accepting that it happened, but have a problem with some of the terminology used to describe what happened as best as I can tell.

At this point I'm bit sure if he's a troll, someone who really believes what he's rambling on about or is just having fun with the English language and trying to make some sort of (smart?) point about the definition of space and the way the recent trips have been reported in the media. What are you claiming they are lying about? They experienced reduced gravity, the same as when you drive fast over a hump back bridge, or ride in a roller-coaster or jump up while riding in a lift going down. Just they had a far more pronounced effect of that reduced gravity. Then they landed in the desert somewhere.

Have you done these experiments? Have you proven them wrong? Try not to veer off into whataboutery, it can be hard to do, but concentrate very hard and you might be able to.

Markus is too afraid to make a point and never will. Markus can at least start at the very base and build up scientific knowledge slowly, they clearly don't understand even the basics, I'm guessing even the tablet/phone/PC they are using to comment on boards is some sort of magical device for them.
