Thriller is fantastic and deserves its reputation, so Pink.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody ; it's great, a fantastic piece of music, but maybe because I studied for the auld Leaving Cert back in the day and needed to listen to it constantly, I just get a bit of Bohemian Rhapsody fatigue at times... like now
Arcade Fire - No cars go ; actually think both songs are equally overrated, but as a band I've always found Arcade Fire incredibly overrated, so will give them the edge
Don McClean - American Pie ; I like it, but it is overrated, and I don't feel Clint Eastwood is overrated (the song not the actor, the actor is definitely overrated)

Elton John - Candle in the wind - seems to be played at everyone's funeral
I am a fan of The Beatles, but since their entire back catalogue seems to have been nominated I'm having to vote for them a lot as I'm either a bigger fan of what they're against (U2) or just stuggling to see the other song as overrated (Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello) whereas its hard not to judge the biggest music act of all-time a bit more harshly even when you do like them.
Quite a few songs have come up here, that I have never heard. I didn't think that meant that they weren't overrated though, tbh, just because I wasn't familar with them.
I had to resist making all my nominations Ed Sheeran songs. I will never understand his popularity. 🤔😉

Christy Moore - Ride On - a bigger pile of turgid crap you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else. How this, or any of Christy Moore's other songs tbh, are so beloved will remain one of life's great mysteries. I don't even like the Britney song that much, but it's a classic by comparison.
