I also saw similar posted over in reddit recently, I thought this was all sorted last October when Comreg granted them their authorisation to provide a satellite internet access service last October. What further licence is required?
Satellite terminal are licence exempt under a regulation issued last year.
Its the end-user terminals that have been exempted this week.

Curious what date you signed up? and when you got the email for disptach? The Social Butterfly who posted earlier signed up 10th Of Feb and recieved his already. I signed up on the 13th of Feb. Trying to figure out are they working their way through them.

Literally minutes after it went live for the preorders. Got the email yesterday.
Hoping to set this up for someone who has just had confirmation of their order, are there any instructions for picking a site for it. I'm afraid there may be some issues with some obstruction to the west. I've just got to find the best location in the garden and get power to it.
Probably a better question is how far off pointing directly up does the dish move?
This might help: You must have a clear sky view (priority is North, W, E & S) at the position where you plan to site the antenna (most likely on a roof or pole). Generally speaking, the higher the better to clear obstacles like trees etc. To assess this, download the Starlink app for Android or iPhone to help check for obstructions at proposed location/level. Once kit is unpacked, place antenna on supplied stand at a convenient outdoor temporary location using its 100 ft cable while seeking best clear sky view (priority is North, W, E & S). If experimenting with different locations for antenna, use the stow action (in app’s Settings), unplug mains power, move antenna, wait 15+ minutes and plug in again. A few yards movement may make a difference.
Once powered up, the antenna will go to horizontal, after few minutes it is likely to tilt downwards slightly to the south.
I had Eir fibre and there were two breaks in service in a year lasting a total of about 40 min. The technical quality of their service was exemplary. There was a minor hassle when I returned their router in them claiming I hadn't, but that was fairly easily sorted. I would have liked to have stayed with them, but the price bump after the first year was just too much.
Useful info - think I'm good to the south but there are some high obstructions E and W but the South inclination may reduce their effect. I'll update when I get it going.
Please let us know how you get on as it will help others. Note that the antenna is a phased array and has a "mind of its own" when calculating optimal direction/angle (unlike a Geostationary dish which simply needs to be pointing directly at a sat). Once set up the app should give you a good indication of obstructions.
I'll put my hands up and say I haven't looked up how the thing is connected up so sorry if these are dumb questions.
Does it work PoE? That would be really great.
What size is the pole mount? - found a location that looks the optimal long term solution.
Short term best spot in the garden has about 60 degrees (minimum probably more) each side of straight up for a ground level install. I'm hoping 120 degrees is enough view of the sky.
Uses POE. Supplied mount is about one foot high - only suit testing. Not expert but 120 degrees is very very insufficient - get antenna as high as possible to clear obstacles otherwise it wont be satisfactory. Suggest you browse through https://www.reddit.com/r/Starlink/ to get ideas etc. Also check Starlink FAQ.
I'm being pessimistic but maybe nearer 140 degrees.
Are there any stated issues for power loss over the cable? I have a suitable outdoor PoE connection (was installed for a camera but never used) that may have as much as 100ft of cable back to the switch.

Edit> Looks like its not anyform of conventional PoE and the cable is permanently attached to the dish? 15W is the max I think the current PoE router can supply and the dish has a 30W supply so move on to plan B.
The base unit supplies the power. No need to worry about POE in your own switch. You just plug in to the AUX socket on the Starlink unit and power that from the wall.
Might be an issue if you're adding 100ft more onto the run, but I'm sure you could work something out.
But when you have PoE 4 ft away from where you were going to install it then its annoying when instead you have to start fishing cable through 100ft of ducting.
From what I can gather after finally doing some research is that the min required in 100 degrees, but will see if thats true or not fairly soon.
By work something out I was suggesting you might consider cutting 96 ft off the cable on the dish and plug it in to the cable in the duct. Maybe not the best idea after all!
That dish needs a lot of power.
If you can get the attached cable into your duct it looks like the best idea.
I haven't seen it in person, just advised a neighbour over a call yesterday as they were up on a roof.
On the far end take it to the Starlink box instead of the the POE switch and just attach the switch to the other port.
The cable is good quality and it's shielded, but it's just CAT6 at heart.
What kind of cable do you already have in the duct?

No email received as yet, but are there any installers in Ireland, or could any tv aerial installer do this?
Watch some of the youtube videos an idiot could install it. The only awkward bits are mounting the dish on something - it will work on the ground- and getting the cable into the house.
I could probably help out anyone in the Dungarvan area, but would like to get one up and working first.
