Sure nothing, from Garda Criminal investigations to disastrous loss of the lead in a by-election 'overly concerns' them. 😀
I didn't and have no intention of deflecting from my original point about how this by election was a disaster for the governing parties Mark. No amount of 'the future is bright' PRing for FG will achieve that.
He asked you a question and you deflect.
In other words, you are complaining about another poster deflecting while you deflect yourself.
FG wouldn't have won that seat with Kate
She might have got closer than yer man alright but Ivana had the momentum
Noone in FG is overly concerned
You'll get a bit of the expected answers from politicians implying the opposite which is par for the course but it's not the real opinion
They'll do government next time if needed but otherwise will be happy enough with the told ye so opposition role
I couldn't see him winning from the moment he was announced and as the campaign went on he just got worse. If Varadkar could have put his ego aside and put up Kate O'Connell they would have won the seat, I can see her running her in a GE. Bacik was a safe vote to give the government a kick.
They absolutely poured resources into getting him elected. All the senior FG TDs were canvassing for him. Voting FG is in the genes in DBS. Jim gave FG a free pass - he wanted a disastrous FF result for obvious reasons.
It's a disaster for FG. I was convinced he would win.
FG put up a poor candidate can't see them doing that in the next election.
I am still in shock that FG lost their seat in DBS. Unbelievable really. That constituency is a FG stronghold.
Garrett Fitzgerald and John A Costello were TDs here.
FF clearly did not try to win it but FG not having a TD in DBS is incredible.
As I said before, FG will be begging for transfers in GE.Next.
Big Jim has lost his seat to Bacik at the next election, that's my prediction there
FG will win theirs back but won't get a 2nd ,their surplus will bring Eamon over the line
Defo not on the percentage of the vote that they got. Big Jim could be in trouble as well so it will be only the one FF candidate and pray they elected
The FF candidate couldn't string 2 sentences together
I doubt she'll run again
Careful not to address the actual performance of the governing parties by deflecting to the future. Cool.
In what universe does 26.8% for an individual candidate fail to take a seat on the first count in a four-seat constituency?
Looks like he's doing the Fandango. :)
Not forgetting this one of Mr 19 covids. 🤣
This stupid new site for me put the above as last post in this thread so I thought it referred to this morning...
Anyone witness the cheek of this performance last night on TV3 from yet another failed government party member?. Totally unchallenged too.

Still a WUM.
Welcome back everyone. Great to see the country reopening. Vaccination programme is working. Government doing a great job.
Green voter makes the best of a disaster for FG, again. Heck, blanch has made it look like DBS has no implications at all for FG. :)
The memes of paschal etc out with the placards were something else. 🤣
Let's test this new photo feature.
FG matched their general election performance, SF matched their general election performance, but the by-election anti-government vote went to the Labour Party. Next time out, it looks like a Labour gain from FF as the likely change.
And not forgetting that vote last night in the Dail to effectively bring in mandatory vaccination or else you will be an outcast.
What larks since the site went down...more communications chaos, a mind blowing disaster for FF in DBS with the entire FG party from Malahide to Bray descending on DBS in a futile embarrassing (Simon with the placard on the traffic island) effort to get their man and Leo across the line.
Result? Two leaders of the power swap further holed below the waterline. And Eamonn...then there was the Greens! :)
Hello, testing 123, are we back?

It is also likely that South Africa's warm-up test against Georgia, to be played in Johannesburg on Friday, will also be called off after positive test results in both camps, as a third wave of coronavirus cases engulfs the country. Any comment?
