The key elements include six high speed charging hubs on motorways capable of charging eight vehicles simultaneously; 16 high speed charging hubs capable of charging four vehicles simultaneously; additional high power chargers at 34 current 50 kW locations; upgrading over 50 22 kW chargers to 50 kW, and replacing up to 264 locations with 528 charge points at the pre-existing pilot grade of 22 kW to next generation high reliability models.
"Fast" means 22kW in NI. 'fast' in Ireland means 50kW+
What’s the general consensus with chargers?
VW are going with 11KW AC with 100+ DC
skoda are similar but going with 50+ DC.
is there any marque still punching AC over DC?
‘Fast’ charge points…..
so some garages are getting 22kW AC chargers…….

I think it is a good piece of news.
Looking at their locations

none are on the main motorways. So it is very possible to see some chargers on the Limerick to Cork route or Limerick to Galway. I don't really know these forecourts so I don't think it is har to narrow down possible locations. I wonder how the other forecourt chains will receive this news. Would Circle K bring their own at major locations?
PS there is no preview and one link seems parsed while the other one not.
Greenergy has agreed with ESB to introduce fast and high power EV charging points at selected Irish retail forecourts operating under Greenergy’s Amber and Inver brands.
To start, 16 forecourts have been identified across the Inver and Amber portfolio and include a mix of company owned, company leased and dealer sites. The charging units will be rolled out in two-phases, with over half of the sites to be completed over the coming 18 months.

These sites will include a mix of fast and high power chargers

"Ok. Emergency meeting! How can we still swing this as an 8 car hub? We were pushing our luck before when 1 of the cars had to be a Leaf and 1 had to be charging on the 22kW AC, but now we're screwed!"
.
"What if 2 of the cars are Toyotas?"
Spotted an E-Tron parked at the AC units in pavilions shopping centre in Swords not charging
Lazy f!cker didn't even pretend to plug the cable in
Shame!!!
I'd say it is still flaky. It seems that they are unable to charge 2 cars in the same time.
I think 1 of the units at Mayfield was replaced. Unit 1 (I think) has a new chargePointId. I think it was a bit flakey, as when the 350kW plug was being used the 200kW would show as faulty.
A week off Boards and we get 6 new HyperHubs……
oh wait, the network is still rubbish!!

Kramer wrote: » So has anyone managed to get anywhere near 150kW from this hub, let alone 200kW+? I only managed 60kW odd, when I should have pulled significantly more & have heard from many others also ,who seemed to top out in the 60s.

ELM327 wrote: » No they won't. lower amperage on the charger combined with low voltage (especially on t he SR+) of the model 3 means that the ecars chargers won't give any more, and will likely give less, than the 145kW max that v2 SuC deliver.
