Weeks like this would nearly prefer there was no sections to qualifying, all or nothing. :D

    Alonso will be fuming there.

Edit: Even worse that Seb missed the flag to be able to start another lap.

    Alonso visibly unhappy there.

Alonso got badly blocked by Vettel there, that'll be a penalty for Seb

Wow! Russell Into Q3 on the mediums, unbelievable stuff

Both Ferraris out in Q2. George Russell into Q3 just.

Pity but that's gotta be a proper penalty for Vettel. Cases like this the FIA should react quickly and not let him participate in Q3 and then apply the penalty.

    Top class from Russell!

    Ferrari out to Russell's delight.

However their tyre choice will make up for it.

    Ferrari are an embarrassment.

Ok that was impressive from Russell.

A Williams faster than a Ferrari on the same tyres.

Russell sure knows how to drive that car.

Happy birthday Seb - here's a grid penalty

I was wondering what the commentators were on about Alonso catching the field since the time wouldn't allow it. Then I realised I was the one making the mistake of underestimating the potential for idiocy from an F1 team.

Can't say I am a fan of his, but loved his radio message earlier when he said "sorry guys was that a bit too fast"

People are allowed to not like him. Great job by him though well deserved. Hopefully he finally gets those points tomorrow.

Yeah that gave me a chuckle.

    Raging for Alonso.

Well at least vettell seemed to have known he’d ****ed up but the stewards won’t probably look at that.

Yeah that's fine, just wondering. Can't see much to not like about him. Suppose he does have weirdly girl-ish eyes. :pac:

I'm sure Vettel is massively pissed off considering the pace he seemed to have. Blame has to rest with the team in these situations. If it puts him off by a tenth of a second that could mean 5 places in Q3.

Alonso had the sunglasses on and the face mask pulled all the way up marching back from the garage. Looked to be absolutely fuming under it all

One of the few times I love hearing an orange crowd cheering.

Yep that destroyed both Vettels and Alonsos qualifying. He was stuck in a queue and had nowhere to go, he moved offline as soon as he could which sacrificed his ability to start his own lap, but it was already too late. He’ll be stuck starting outside the top ten on soft tyres tomorrow which won’t be easy.

Would love it if Norris can stay ahead of Hamilton. Come on Perez.
