I've seen two main options put forward on this forum, (1) that he'll remain a political force until the 2024 primaries start up and the Republicans have to take him seriously or (2) that he'll be so mired in litigation that he'll have no time for politics.

There are of course other options for the next 4 years - prison, exile, death or ill-health (he isn't young and he's been under stress), no politics but a business success, emperor. But it'd be an interesting exercise for people to lay their cards on the table now and make their predictions.

Personally I think his political influence will die quickly after the Capitol fiasco but someone else will emerge in 2 years, once the memories have waned, to be the standard-bearer for the QAnon wing.

You've made the claim that it should be common sense that illegal immigrants receive more taxpayer money than they contribute, but there are many studies that show the opposite is true. While I'm not arguing whether it is or isn't the case, it certainly isn't common sense or as easy to determine as you seem to think.

You've again shown that you haven't even fully researched even any of your own independent thoughts™.

If you are concerned with the cost of immigrants: why not legalize them? Then we can tax them more readily. Some estimates put the GDP gain at over $1.5 T over a decade by turning them into legitimate taxpayers.

There is no official language in the US. But to succeed in the US you need to be able to communicate and everyone here legally knows that means speaking and reading in English. What’s the point of this bullsh1t tour? It’s not like he has any relevance anymore, outside of his festering minions. Who pays for this mad entourage with him. Saw clip of him talking about it at a press conference with Greg Abbot. He said that his physician said 'You know, you're very intelligent, you should do a cognitive test' and Trump responded, 'What is it?'

If he was 10% as intelligent as he thinks he is, he'd probably know what a cognitive test is.

Correct - and he knows *everything* about the foundation. He is looking at real time, and he is no spring chicken. While I will not hold my breath to see 45 in handcuffs, I'm not naïve enough to think that there may be ramifications for the children. If the company is charged and found guilty, it has real problems going forward doing deals and getting finance. It could very well crumble as a result.

The charges so far are illegal tax avoidance, that's not to say that's the cumilation of the charges against Trump.org. However those charges so far are not to be sniffed at and basically mean the end of trumps business interests and revenue, aside from the shilling for these bullish!t 'tours'. Its also worth noting that these charges have gone through a grand jury process, which are watertight from the prosecution side, and thus any leaks or rumours of what charges will be presented can only have come from the defendants team, who will inevitably downplay the charges. So let's just see what washes out.
As for this 'Alan Weisenberg person', he has been CFO for the trump organisation for twenty years, and previously worked as a bookkeeper for Fred Trump. For someone who has lived in a life of luxury as Weisenberg has, its amazing what a prison cell can do for a person's loyalty

trump was in charge when the offences happened. they didnt just start the day be became president. this is only a tiny taster morsel before the big meal arrives.

In terms of the distribution of how illegal immigrants come to be in the US, this article gives a reasonable breakdown

Every country has the right to deal with illegal immigration how they see fit within the bounds of National and International law , we're just pointing out that building a wall is without question the least effective method of resolving or even mitigating the issue. And more specifically, illegally using government funds intended for another purpose to build said wall is an even stupider act.

It should also be pointed out that a significant proportion of those coming to the US are not doing so illegally (at least at first) - If someone arrives at a border post and requests asylum they have broken no laws - They are entitled to seek asylum and then the country (US in this case) reviews their claim and decides if it's valid etc. (Ireland currently do a horrible job of this process with Direct Provision being an utter shambles from start to finish).

Now , if they do a runner while waiting for that ruling , then they have broken the law and are now an "Illegal Immigrant" and should be treated as such, but just arriving at the border is not a crime despite what Fox et al might try to tell people every single day of the week.

Well his CFO Allan wesselberg has surrendered to prosecutors and I know it seems he’s stayed loyal to trump up to now, but he more than anyone should know that with the trump family, loyalty is a one way street, then if he thinks that when push comes to shove the trumps(specifically Donald trump) will save him then he’s learnt nothing from his years around the company.

Seems like an attempt to pass off the entire commission to the Dems, then attack it for being completely partisan and biased. It's a risky move that might help them in the court of public opinion with their own supporters, but could be hugely damaging if the likes of OANN and Fox can't rely on showing clips of the GOP questioning witnesses or pontificating about how it's a witch hunt etc.

Regarding Weisselberg, I was reading that one of the things which lead to the charges against him and the tax fraud in general was his former daughter in law, and claims she made about properties given to them by the Trump Org. If that's true, that also likely brings his sons into it (who also work for Trump companies) and could be what turns Weisselberg.
