Solar PV Performance Thread - Post your monthly output

I think it would be very useful to post Solar PV monthly generation figures. Not only could it highlight a problem further down the road, but there many be many owners who are getting far less than they expected (or promised by an installer) and would welcome feedback from other owners.

Of course, there are so many factors involved. Your location in the country (or abroad for our international boardies), your array size, your array direction and the panels mounting angle.

Saw the first tangible benefit* of my solar set up today. Submitted by meter reading. Was really lucky that my last submitted reading was the day after the system was installed in April. So this billing period has had the benefit of the solar for the 2 months.

This (April-June)billing period we used 135units
The previous (feb-April) billing period we used 945units. Happy with that difference.

*I know usage would be higher in feb and march

Where do you find total on grid export?

My export is 373kw ( had to total up in excel spreadsheet) That's 38% of total generation given away for free, roll on the FIT..

And that is after charging a 10kw battery most days too.

According to this my export is only 237, is this correct?

What is difference between daily energy purchased and daily on grid energy?

Just wondering did anyone else note an obvious dip in Solar generation during the partial eclipse last week. I know it was very cloudy and overcast where I am so solar generation was minimal anyway but it dipped even further during the eclipse window.

Hi all, quick query .. I just had a solar install completed this morning (4.4kw with 4.8kwh Pylon Batteries) and am now trying to understand the monitoring.

It's a Solis inverter, I'm monitoring via ginlong.com website and Solis Home app (iPhone) .. I assume that's correct ?

Is there any online tutorials that you would recommend to help explain what I'm looking at ?

4.8 Kwh Battery capacity

System turned on approx 11am this morning .. here's status @ 10pm

Generated 18.4 kWh
Self-consumption 12.2 kWh (9.7 + 2.5 kWh battery discharge)
Battery Charging 3.7 kWh
Lost to Grid : 5 kWh

Still learning !

Time for an annual Thread? It could act as a quick reference to anyone looking for that info.

Size/Orientation(s) and annual generation on your Anniversary and annual export/consumption/import from the grid would all be useful reference points.

We already have a daily and Monthly thread so if anyone wants to start an annual. My Anniversary isn't until the 5th August but I'll contribute then.

Started out with 4.8kW but upgraded to 6kW in the second year on a south facing roof.
I do get shading a different times of the day so have optimizers on all the panels & located in Wicklow.
