This is just a thread so everyone can keep updated on the ID.3 Launch Edition.

Target price to start below €40k before any state subsidy
1st year 2,000kWh free public charging(WeCharge app required and include Ionity)
8 year battery warranty, 160k km minimum of 70%

After Frankfurt show(12th Sep- 22nd Sept) order phase starts. The registration number is required. Will be able to order via the chosen dealer. This is the one you picked on preorder.

Had the pleasure of meeting eagerv today at Kilcullen Charger, very sound bloke and got a free Coffee !

Had a good look at his id.3, seats a lot nicer than I had seen before. Love the white Colour. Made me want mine even more!

I'm sure he'll need some time to recover after meeting the Mad_Lad.

My app now shows a white ID.3, which is interesting because I own a blue ID.4 :-/

I guess they still have a few bugs to work out...

It looks the same. It does show the correct color for your car now... Whoopee! :pac:

Vw golf. 57.1 centre bore. Pcd 112 , 3mm thick
Just make sure its 57.1 centrebore, or it will be very hard to line up.

If you live in the sticks a spare wheel is very useful, especially if travelling long distances to catch a flight. Ryanair wont wait on the rac.

I've had spare wheels at the house for my last four cars (prior to current two), never used across those years, I must actually put on on Adverts along with roof racks etc, never seem to get around to doing this necessary clearout

I have sorted a spare wheel, the vw tiguan spare 145/80/18 fits with the addition of a 3mm spacer plate from autostyling ireland for the front to clear the disc brakes. The eo mini pro that electric ireland install works with solar and there is no exterior control buttons to perish with the sun, unlike the zappi. The price for full installation is a pretty good deal.

You are coming from the same previous car as me..:) Great car, mine was the GT spec so was loaded.

The reason nobody is mentioning the battery heating is because of battery temp, needs to be below about 5c which would be typical on a cold winters morning. AFAIK no changes have been made with the updates.
I would say insure your car for the price you pay after grants.
Haven't thought much about spare wheel..

Who can retrofit these in Ireland or NI and what is the cost to it? The rear camera is the only think missing for me.

Ive spoken to a few dealers over the last week or so. Theres absolutely no discounts or money off cars in stock and said VW are upping the price by 1% too. The world’s gone mad.

My current car is a 182 BHP Civic with cool alloys and tinted glass. I'm currently fighting the urge to be "human" and not fork out in excess of a grand for alloys and tinting:)

The Nissan 360 camera system is excellent.

We don’t have a reversing camera on our ID3 Style, but from what I’ve seen online, the fisheye thing is in the settings and you can turn it off to get a “normal” reversing camera view.

We've had a leaf, i3 and a E-soul all with cameras and this is the first one she doesn't even look at.
Doesn't like the fishbowl effect it gives. Personally I'm fine with it. Tbh nothing comes near the 360 cameras that came with the leaf.

The Life and Style models don't have the rear view camera. Maybe see if it can be added to the build. It can definitely be retrofitted anyway.
Well worth having. It's a must have for me in the future on my next cars.

If your getting the life, you can order Wheel trims with black trim already applied from a company in Germany.
Cheaper than the Silver Styling pack which was €500-€600

Alloy wheels look good, that's the only advantage

The Life has most of the basics you'd really want from a car, air con, heated seats, infotainment system, adaptive cruise control. Any extras beyond that are really up to what you want
