Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wow, stunning what time did you have to get up at to take that picture!

Not a cloud in sky, beautiful morning here, we are currently packing up for the beach.

    Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

I got up at 4, set out at half 4. Have to be up very early this time of the year of course, sunrise itself was 5:05. Always worth it though when sunrises like this are rewarded.

It's finally a summery feeling day at last. Thursday morning was too but just barely lasted half the day!

A beautiful morning sky captured Sryanbruen and what a stunning reflection of it on the water!
Blue skies and sunshine to start to day here again in Mayo with a little bit more breeze than yesterday. It has been great to feel some warmth over the past couple of days again after such a cool month. Nice to see a number of stations around the country reporting 18c in their 10am reports.

Lovely morning in Cork, so very happy with that. Had a quick dip in the sea. Nearly died.

Lovely morning in west cork, sunny, warm air and can feel the heat hitting my face. Finally.

A lovely warm, humid feel here in Celbridge, but some nice towers going up out to my west (highdef country).

Such a fantastic day, hammocks are out, blue sky and 19.8C in the garden here in Kerry, Rh low too at 71% making it extra nice.

Love hearing all these positive reports, makes such a nice change! Beautiful here near Trim too, clouds coming and going but it’s just lovely 😊

We might at least get a decent summer for a change. I have faith.

A nice 22 degrees at Casement at 1pm

It really is great when you open the netweather radar, and you just think it isn't loading, when in fact, there's just no rain over either Ireland and the UK

Edging 22C in Castlebar now, a beautiful day with mostly blue skies and a refreshing light breeze.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,570 ✭✭✭Tyrone212

Very little sunshine here this past couple of hours. A bit disappointing.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 16,960 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gonzo

23C currently in parts of Donegal and Derry. 22C widely across the country away from southern coasts.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,801 ✭✭✭snowgal

Since I posted earlier we have been under a constant cloud, no sun, soooo annoying! And blue skies all around me......please break through sun

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,570 ✭✭✭Tyrone212

Eglinton Derry 23C. Malin Head 30km away only 14c. Reached 19c earlier there.

after a very sunny morning and early afternoon, a big bank of cloud has rolled in here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,047 ✭✭✭appledrop

On the way home from Portmanock, one of best days I can remember in a long time.

I even got in twice for a swim it was so warm!

No sea breeze all day but picking up there when we were leaving.

Only downside is manic traffic to get out.

Barbecue planned now for evening, feels like we are on holidays!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,086 ✭✭✭KanyeSouthEast

Cloudy here all afternoon I can see blue sky to the south and east of me but stubborn blanket of cloud over head. I’ve given up been disappointed. It is what it is now. At least it’s dry reasonably warm.

4am wow that's dedication, and I thought I was great getting up at 7.30am on a Sunday!

It was worth it though as not a hope we would have got parking if we left it any later to head to beach.

Sun back out and the cloud bank is moving away to the west. Glorious evening.

Sublime day in coastal East Cork, wall to wall sunshine and genuinely warm.

The dreaded sea fog didn’t cause any issues.

7pm and still glorious in NCD.

As my four year old just said 'Best day ever'!

Beautiful day in Galway. Got my first sea swim done. There will be plenty more of that until end Sept.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,142 ✭✭✭OldRio

A beautiful morning in Leitrim unfortunately by midday the cloud moved in and stubbornly refused to move. On the plus side, it didn't rain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,963 ✭✭✭Chris_5339762

Lovely day in Cobh in the end... my station maxed out at 18.7c and it felt warmer. Had that lovely slight continental haze too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,922 ✭✭✭SouthWesterly

A glorious day in North kerry.
Spent 5he afternoon in the garden.
When I Checked the weather station at 5 it was 22C.

Spent the afternoon and evening in inland north Co. Dublin and it was amazing. Best day of the year by far. Practically no cloud, whereas there was some bubbling up further inland as I left here (Celbridge) earlier.

    Suomi, 2 pm.

Literally not a single cloud in west cork, nor the entire way back to the city today and none at the moment either. An absolutely brilliant day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,047 ✭✭✭appledrop

Donegal Storm delighted you got a nice day as you often miss out up North.

Beaches look amazing, they look quiet enough, unlike Portmarnock beach today!

It really was and do you know what made it even more special, today felt like a 'normal' summers day.

Everyone was outdoors enjoying themselves, laughing and having fun, there was no masks(I'm sure Dr. Tony would have had a heart attack if he was there).

Sunshine always lifts us as a nation but if there was ever a time when we really needed it, its now.

Beautiful day in Galway. Got my first sea swim done. There will be plenty more of that until end Sept.

Cluedo I'm not a fan of swimming in Ireland, too cold for me but went swimming twice today and loved it.

We are in a very different airmass now for the foreseeable with temperatures regularly topping 20C through the week and into next weekend.
So yes not all sunshine but you can ditch your aran sweater for a while lol

    Saturday 20.3c
    Sunday 22.1c

    Sligo

Not a bad weekend all told

June is likely to be a fairly mild to warm month. No high temperatures on the horizon for us yet but high teens to about 21C for much of the coming week, warmest in the east with less of an Atlantic influence.

GFS rolling out now looking increasingly warm for next week.

Fantastic weekend here in West Clare, today especially, up to 22°c and sunshine all day bar 2 hours from about 4-6.

Kilkee was jammed! Had a few pints myself, great to see such a nice atmosphere around. The difference a bit of weather makes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,343 ✭✭✭OneEightSeven

Dublin Airport microclimate doing its thing at 1:00 am. It recorded a temperature of 6*C while every other station in the region reads 3 or 4*C higher.

  • Registered Users Posts: 694 ✭✭✭jackrussel

Some difference since yesterday! Noticeably cooler today with a decent breeze in cork city.
