What can you say about Clifford and Sean O Shea. They are physically in top condition, Galway tacklers falling off them, a lot of gym work done in the last few months at home I presume. A word on Galway, piss poor. Shane Walsh is a lovely footballer but he goes missing a lot. Comer looks like he is still injured his gait seems off.

But have failed to make an impact. So it's not as if they have missed the opportunity for instilling belief or morale boosting over the last few years in the league, but it has done them a fat lot of good in the championship.

One of those draws was a last kick of the game free by Clifford which they were lucky to come out of a draw with so they've far from held their own. Of course a win would be a morale booster for the team. But not a big deal if they lose as I dont think anyone is expecting a Kerry win on Sunday
Fr Tod Umptious wrote: » Well true, one win in five is not great but it's better than they or anyone else has done v Dublin in the championship since 2014 so I don't think a league win v Dublin is any huge gauge for the championship. The reality is that no matter what state of mind a win or anything else puts Kerry in after this weekend they and everyone else are streets behind Dublin. I was always a fan of the idea that the likes of Kerry and Mayo were never that far away from beating Dublin, and that was based on a number of All Ireland finals and Semi finals between 2013 and 2017. However looking at the 2019 replay and the 2020 final I convinced that the only way anyone beats Dublin is if there are a set of circumstances that hamper Dublin. The prefect example of this is the 2019 first game. The closest anyone has come to beating Dublin since 2017 has been when Dublin were playing with a man less for most of the game. And even then they were not beaten. So no amount of morale boosts, or hunger or other intangibles is going to make a blind bit of difference.
