Bumping this.
Looking for a ladies dress watch, €700-800 ish as birthday gift.
Any suggestions? TIA
Go longines, go second hand cartier,
Raymond Weil, great selection, women love them. I bought my wife a Cartier tank as an engagement present, a Jaeger reverso for a significant birthday and a Raymond Weil as a beater and she’s equally happy wearing that.
Not much to go on there! How old, what does she like, is she into watches, what metal?
Here's a couple
I bought myself a Raymond Weil about 10 years ago. Sorry I bought it, never used and hard to sell.
i should have gone Longines in that bracket
Yeah, it's a very personal decision in my humble. I know someone who got a Cartier Tank as an anniversary present and never wears it. Treasures it for what it represents but.. She just isn't taken with the design and would have picked something different.
Thanks for those suggestions Cienciano,
Mid 30s, looking for something traditional/classy.
Looked at the Longines Presence and think will go with that.
Just asked the wife what she thought of a tank and she said it's nice (recognised it was a Cartier right away) but she said it was an "auld one watch"! I think the days of going straight to the big 3 from cartier as a recommendation for the ladies are over
Disagree to be honest. My wife my mum and my sister all have tanks.
maybe take her existing favourite watch and take it to a jeweller to customise. My wife has a great smallwatch that is customised with pearls on chains and other motifes
Grand Seiko baby snowflake STGF359 high accuracy quartz 28.9mm.
Apart from Jenni Elle, I don't think there are more than about 79 another women on the planet who would get super excited to own that Seiko.
I suspect you are over estimating the number hugely 😹
indeed, i cant imagine worse bang for buck if i handed this to Mrs Cyrus 😂
This buck would not get a bang for a grand Seiko anyway. Tank is the classic of all classics. I don't think it can be beat without spending twice as much on an omega or 4 times on a Rolex. Everything else is a fashion watch really and likely to go in and out with the fashion
Yeah, tank is great, but she's 40,not 80 😂
Class is timeless
