Apologies if this question has been answered previously....

Does anyone know of a CNC shop that can supply a replacement MFT- type top?

None of the UK suppliers deliver outside the country, even one based in NI.
Nothing fancy - I only really require a few accurately placed holes to support a fence and track to enable 90deg cuts.

Just to play devils advocate here to some extent, I got an Aldi (Scheppach) track saw and the Evolution 2800mm track plus a replacement 48T blade. Total cost was under 200 euro.

For amateur use on regular materials I find it excellent to be honest.
The splinter guard on the evolution rails is a bit hard so I will replace that with a Makita strip instead at some stage.

I will use one of the shorter 700mm Aldi rails to make a cross cut jig.

I would also highly recommend Peter Millards excellent track saw series.
I picked up one of the powerdown plugs on his recommendation to turn on the vacuum automatically with the saw.

My new toys arrived. I went with a middle of the road setup. Triton saw, evolution 2800 track set, mft top and DIY dogs and fence.

I also got an 80 tooth blade and the cuts in birch ply are beautiful.

Are the dogs just bolts with threads cut off? Thats brilliant if so.

M20 bolts yeah. now they're not as tight as they could be in the holes and they are only tight at all because the MFT top is resting on the bolt heads on a sheet of ply underneath, but they'll do for now.

I want to buy the benchdogs.co.uk fence, but man I've a lot of money spent on this lot already.

Extending my top to fit on 2 sawhorses. Using the Makita SP6000 Plunge Cut Saw Kit with 2 x 1.5m Rails & 1 x 1m rail. I have some rail stops and dog locks arriving soo, I'll upload once tested. Posted a few of these in another post.

How did you get on with the MFT template? Did you do a test for accuracy? Seems a lot cheaper than the Parfit system as well as less likelihood for mistakes

Hi Corkey123, I haven't used a five cut method or anything like that but I have used a woodpeckers t-square to mark out a pencil line then butted the sheet against the dogs / cut and it's bang on. I also have the benchdogs MK2 rail square which confirms the accuracy. The issue now is https://www.247wood.nl/en/ no longer stock the jig, they've even removed the videos related to it from Youtube??? To be honest I thought it was way thicker than it needed to be.

Yep, got myself one of those jigs, but my Forstner bit is 20.2mm and won't fit the jig. I suppose that is a good thing in that it may indicate that the jig is accurate. Just have to get an accurate 20mm bit. When I have used it I will post an update. Thanks

Can't comment on that, but for full disclosure I've contacted the seller for some custom bits recently which I hope to receive soon, found them very quick to respond, happy to work with you on what you want and doesn't gouge you on price or postage.

You've done nothing wrong because you purchased an advertised product in good faith but the license agreement is clear; it's non-commercial so the seller is being a naughty boy:

Anyone have an interest in a cnc-cut MFT style top?

I'm waiting for a price back from a cnc service in Dublin, but the guy already said I can get 3 tops from a full sheet & it might be better to sell the other 2 to a couple of mates

I sent them 1102 x 718 top (but I could go for 4 smaller 1/4 sheet panels instead @ 610 x 1220)

I just got a reply back, €120 per sheet for 18mm MR-MDF, so that €40 a table top for the (1102 x 718) top or €30 for the smaller one (610 x 1220mm)
