Belfast Disturbances

So approaching a disjointed marching season in North of Ireland for a second year running, Sandyrow and The waterside in Derry have now erupted with violent clashes.

Sandyrow seen officers injured and it is being blamed on the Irish sea border, within the community it seems the Royal bar leadership were arching up the tensions the past few weeks with banners at the front of the bar.

Is the LCC committed to non violent means or is it more Smoke and mirrors from the UDA and UVF. Donegal pass under the UVF and Sandyrow both came to a standstill last night.

Absolutely no doubt about that, but most loyalists know Johnson and co don't care.

I suspect the loyalists paramilitary leadership are not as stupid as the DUP, and they realise banging on to the Brits about the precious Union will not stave off a United Ireland, their best chance is reminding the pragmatists down south that they are a particularly unpleasant bunch.

A lot of pragmatists down south will be inclined to vote against a UI if it means having to welcome these thugs and their 'culture'.

Their violence was ignored and the Anglo Irish agreement stood, their violence was ignored and the GFA stood, as did legislation on flags and parades. Because that violence was ignored it has been neutered more and more. Now all they can muster is a handful of teenagers and no hopers flinging missiles. Ignore it again, don't allow it to achieve anything and you neuter it some more.

They'll all get the message sooner or later. Many of them have already.

Lol, if you think I'm giving them a pass of some sort, you're obviously not familiar with my posts on matters such as this.

I'm merely saying these scrotes aren't the face of moderate unionists who want nothing to do with this crowd.

Was up to me, they'd be getting blasted up the road with water cannons like them yokes at the bottom of the urinals. Round up the most unruly of them, with the ones carrying out acts of violence straight to courts next morning where a zero tolerance approach should be taken, with mandatory sentencing for endangering lives etc. That'll soon soften their coughs.

The only thing I know for sure is that if you asked the "youths" rioting that they wouldn't have the faintest idea.

More likely drugs related than anything political to be honest. Unfortunately once it becomes sectarian then how or why it started is irrelevant to all involved.
