FWIW I thought POM did quite a bit before he went of injured. JVDF better no doubt but it's not like he was "invisible" as they like to say. I wish they did a big stats report like they do for the 6N games.

Wasn't a game for impact at the breakdown though given the way it was reffed.

Even at the height of Munster's powers the most they ever managed was three back to back victories against Leinster. They played 19 times in the noughties with Munster being ahead 10 wins to 7, with two draws. Leinster and Munster won 2 Celtic Leagues each in that time, while Ulster won 1. It was much more even than you remember.

Ireland have been head and shoulders above all teams in the competition. Ulster and connacht would have provided a more entertaining if lower quality final.

Munsters "marquee" players were no where today. Dda did nothing, Murray was ineffective, carbery only added to to the blunt stats, pom was ghostly, CJ huffed n puffed. Tight five were very much second place. Conway could have been smoking a cigar for the whole game.

Coombes was good, Beirne effected plays when he could. Earls was clever and good when he could be.

But most of all, munster aren't cohesive.

JVG has run his course, he's not the man to take munster any further. You need a platform to run your plays from and Munster don't have it against the top teams. More semi final disappointment beckons unless they look higher.

Thought Coombes went really well in what was a poor performance overall, he really stood out. Has to be knocking on the door for Ireland at this stage.

Look we could go back and forth about the quality of player Munster have been in receipt of, but the bottom line in this discussion seems to be "Leinster management are running things well and the discrepancy between Leinster and the other provinces is down to the fact that all the other provincial coaches just aren't doing as good a job as Leinster's" (though I'm not saying you're necessarily making this point - just giving an impression of what seems to be the prevailing view).

Leinster were much better linking forwards and backs in their attacking play. VdF was off the chain today, possibly the most explosive I've seen him play.

Loved Ruddocks performance too, won just about every collision, made two massive carries. Looked so dynamic today.

Thought Casey looked really lively when he came on. Maybe forced it a bit but he looks like he could be a great player. I think he should have been given more than 10 minutes today. Murray wasn’t at the races.

Feel there were shades of the France Scotland game there. France just lost their composure, decision making and at times execution when tasked with not just winning, but putting a score up.

I think expectation didn't suit Munster today, Leinster are a very experienced championship team now but they looked far more relaxed and as such - composed and clinical.

I do think coaching is an issue, have said plenty of times that I don't think he's replicated some of the improvements demonstrated under Erasmus and I feel Munster have lost some of their rugby IQ since his departure. The lack of intensity today however is on the players and I dare ask is there a leadership issue?

The big plus from that is Coombes - he is going to be a star, biggest concern is how poor the Munster halves were collectively.

POM's post match interview was a sea of equivocation. Looked like he had a lot more he wanted to say.

Unless I'm thinking of the wrong incident, I thought it was below the shoulder line - but yeah any sort of TMO intervention in any incident (neck roll city for both sides) or any form of warning or penalisation would've lead to a much cleaner game later on
