OP Stranger Things:

Welcome to Hawkins Indiana, a small town in mid 1980s America. The town is home to an American military base which just about makes it stick out differently from all the other thousands of towns along the American rust belt. Not much ever happens here...but recently a small boy disappeared suddenly on a nice Sunday evening while cycling home from his friends house after a day of dungeons and dragons.
Will the Sheriff and his merry band of wild children be able to fend of the might of the American military and some unknown dark forces and find their friend? Let us meet the cast:

Good Team

Eleven – Cannot be killed by human teams only the Demogorgon, has one time power to eliminate the Demogorgon if she correctly identifies him

Will Byers – Is connected to the Demogorgon and can sometimes sense his presence. Can pick a two hour period of time once a day to see if the Demogorgon has posted on thread in that period. Can only do this twice in the entire game.

Jim Hopper – Sheriff – Chooses daily between a bullet and daily protect.

Joyce Byers – Seer – Gets one peek per night with result after morning munch at 10am.

Evil Teams

Americans
Dr Martin Brenner – Spends his time trying to convince others that his scientific experiments are ethical and needed when dealing with the commies. As the most senior scientist in the security base, he always looks good.

Hawkins Head of Security – If he gets shot at, he will survive and receive a bullet himself. One time power

Dr Sam Owens – Has one syringe he can use at any point after day 1 one to kill. The syringe takes 6 hours to take effect.

Security Guard - Vanilla Wolf

Serial Killer
Demogorgon – Each day recruits a player to his team. Can only die by lynch or Eleven attack – When he dies his mindless band will die with him. Powers can move with players who are converted

Daily Competition will be open in the Hawkins arcade from 12 until 6pm. Details will be posted on thread at 10am each day.

Game Rules:

1) Once you are killed do not post in the thread again.DEAD PLAYERS DO NOT THANK LIVING PLAYERS POSTS

2) Don’t cheat, it’s a game that relies heavily on the players having integrity. No PMing other players in the game, and no chat about the game outside of this game thread. If you have any concerns about the game mechanics or the integrity of other players contact the mods who will make a decision. Do not discuss any of this in game or elsewhere. Always remember the mods may have secrets.

3) Please all try to reasonably contribute to the game thread and always remember to get a vote in (where it is possible for you to do so) as a minimum. There is a 5 post per day minimum limit. 2 missed votes and/or failure to hit minimum post counts twice will result in a substitution where possible or a modkill. Substitutions will be announced on thread by the game mods.

4) No posting of any PM's from the game mod or referring or alluding to the content of them or any backroom you may or may not have, without prior permission. Note that if there are new players playing, they may have been provided with backrooms to ask questions of the game mods irrespective of game role.

5) Game starts with a pre turn (night 0), followed by a flavour munch at 10am Monday morning and the lynch will be at 9pm. After 9pm Monday will be considered night 1. Role reveals will take place on thread after each death.... Most of the time.

6) Do not share your vote form password to anyone else. All votes for the lynch have to be made by yourself. Voting will be done via Google forms with the link provided in the OP, and the dedicated lynch link thread in the Werewolf Forum. In the event of a tied lynch, the lynch will be decided by last vote cast.

7) Policy on Abuse: Boards has a no-abuse rule in place that is in effect in this forum as well. By all means, call people on dodgy behaviour, point out if they are being silly or behaving strangely, be aggressive in your approach; but DO NOT abuse another player. If you feel another player has stepped over a line, the first step is to ask them to stop; if they do not, please PM a forum mod (sullivlo/Baggly/quickbeam) or use the report button on the post in question. Forum mods will investigate and action any issues at an appropriate time, keeping the game mods informed of any actions as needed.

8) Have fun, make memes, take the piss and try to enjoy the game.

I could see this being a wolf/wolf conversation. 9 in a group won and they both showed a window of time where 9 had posted and were both willing Will the Wise to use that slot.

Fast forward to Monday morning and Angus is online but didn't straight out add himself to No9 slot in group 1 so we could seal the deal. He makes a long post about now needing 9 at 9.27am but still doesn't secure his spot. I see Barbara has posted and check if she will be in Group 1 (she was in original list) and she confirms she will. Angus now gets angry.
He wants on the list but not Barbara

He wants someone else that's not him or Barbara

he wants on the list again

Wendy takes control and adds Angus and Barbara and removes Necro

Angus still not happy Barbara on list

Abigail posts at 1 minute to 10 saying she sees she is no longer required for Group 1. Could Angus possibly have been waiting for her to take the No9 slot and when Barbara took that coverted position it left him possibly in a group with other wolves?

I know I'm rambling but I'm looking at a spreadsheet with all the revisions to group 1 and if I had a gun to my head right now, I would say there's at least 3 wolves in #FFA2

So you mean they wanted Abi in group 1 then Angus group 2 and Conor 3? and spread them out a bit. that still leaves one remaining wolf, and they thought Barbara scuppered that for them initially so Angus demanded to be in Group 1 where Abi was supposed to be?

I suppose it is definitely beneficial for the wolves to be spread out over the groups, the final group is going to be looked at closely and possibly shot/peaked so what you are saying does make some sense to me

I already answered Jake or Angus based on the data we had at hand yesterday.

I don't see what benefit an NRV would be to the Demi, when a roled player most likely brings power or intel to the table. The Demi needs to Convert/Get Rid of all the Roled Players in order to win, so they would likely choose someone they suspected to be roled in some way.

Not going to bother with the list stuff again. It's all being explained. I've been reading through the thread for about a couple of hours and I've got my own (probably horribly wrong) views typed up. Posting after this one. Just to say:

Yesterday I voted Fiona because there was little to go on and she messed up the pattern (only slightly) of the scanning. She also voted for me on what I felt was flimsy reasons so I simply reciprocated.

Incidentally, I played the Space Invaders yesterday three times, got bad scores first two times and then on the third I was around 2100 when my laptop froze and I gave up on it..

I thought the Katie lynch was understandable but I really didn't see a wolf making such a silly mistake re: backroom links.

When it was all alphabetical, Abigail, Angus, Clodagh, Conor and Eva were all in Group 1. I know there’s only 4 wolves but I haven’t worked out which of the girls it is yet. That’s 3 possible wolves going straight into a hunt maybe all 4, I dunno.

That’s what I’m working off anyway as last night lynch votes are of no use!

Because they have:

That is less of a needle in the haystack than hunting for one Will who is doing a great job of staying under the radar. If he gets one wolf, he knows who the other wolves are. So he now has less of a group to pick the village roles from. If he picks Will correctly, then he can use the syringe before Will announces the result.

I think at least one of Trigger, Necro, Brendan and Abigail might be a wolf. Let me explain.

Abigail came out blazing on all cylinders, going after Necro for no reason, put a vote on him first thing and they got into an "argument" about absolutely nothing.

Then she became much calmer later on, even backing him up by agreeing with him about the conversion being announced on thread (which proved true) even though his conversion comments were one of the things she quoted in her post where she announced she was voting for Necro. Then

I got the feeling JP Liz V1 was hinting at being the seer. She wasn't -but the wolves did not know that.

Jake was kinda another lean for me but as Abi pointed out he started the Demi plan so would a wolf do that, I am assuming all wolves know each other including Demi so they could be working together

Here she names Necro and Trigger as the primary peeks for Joyce. She also mentions Jake and I. Because she said "my peek" two pages earlier, the wolves believe HER to be Joyce and think she has slipped up.

I think that's really why they munched her. In fact, it would have been the perfect option because:

A/ They knew she wasn't a wolf
B/ They thought she was the seer.
C/ If Brendan is village, they would hope to cast suspicion on Brendan and his "peek" into the bargain.
D/ They would hope to cast suspicion on the names she suspected.

Necro isn't doing as much wolf-hunting in this game as he usually does in my opinion. Neither is anyone really, but Necro is usually the one eager to lead villages when he is village. I haven't seen any real village leadership from him. Maybe he's just busy but that is my view. I haven't had time to take a close look at Trigger's posts.

You might ask would the wolves munch someone to frame Trigger/Necro? Yes. But conversely if a wolf picked up on the "my peek" remark they have to munch her anyway; doubly so, since she's being "peeked" by Brendan and possibly outed as a village seer. If Brendan is village- which the wolves would know.

Another point is the wolves could possibly have left JP Liz V1 if they thought she was peeking players who weren't wolves -Trigger, Necro. They could have munched someone else and left her to be killed later. It's not like everyone was on her side yesterday or anything. But once they found out that Brendan (if village or demogorgon) was peeking her or (if Brendan was a wolf himself) that she was planning on peeking another wolf (Trigger or Necro) they had to get rid of her first thing.

Unless the whole "I'm peeking JP Liz V1, the results will be revealed after munch tomorrow" megaphone declaration by Brendan was a complete ruse-as the wolves knew by then that JP Liz V1 was a goner and Brendan's "peek" could be used on someone else suspected of being a demogorgon (or, if Brendan is the demogorgon, he was completely genuinely going to peek JP Liz V1 as whether she's NRV/RV or wolf, he's on his own in this game from the start, it doesn't matter) without fear of questioning.

There was also this below, posted yesterday which makes no real sense as she wasn't actually a seer.

So I've got my eye on Trigger, Necro, Abigail, and I suppose, as he is named by JP Liz V1 too, maybe Jake, as well as Brendan, for the whole peek fiasco last night. I actually have liked Jake's posting since day one so I'm not thinking about him at all. I see he has me top of the FFA now.

Others might throw Angus into the fray as a possible wolf based on my own theory above.

Based on my reasoning above, I will vote Trigger, Abigail, or Necro later. Unless anything changes or they can change my mind and point out something I've overlooked. I'm a reasonable chap.

It's not a great argument, there's probably some holes and contradictions in there for sure, but it's my thoughts.

My main issue with the wolves spreading out theory is I'd suspect they haven't told each other exactly who they all are. To do so would expose them to Demi if they were to be converted. So I'd suspect they're all keeping their names secret and only revealing themselves if a munch order is placed on one of them by another wolf accidentally.

Yeah, the only danger is they were converted. But that's fairly slim likelihood.

My own thoughts would be to rule Jake out first off. There is absolutely no way Imo that they do that amount of work into finding themselves. They would have no end game once the other 3 die they would have to go so no way of winning really.
