Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all, I have received a message in regards to an expression of interest. I'm wondering If I express interest in one or both (if that's possible) areas. Will this then exclude me from future areas? I'm just not too sure how this works.. Thanks.

    Haha I hope we are means everyone else isn't interested in it anymore. I'm OOM 378. I was told by PAS it ends in October this year it was 2 year panel

    Yeah 7 months.. Look! it's hard to know if we'll get an interview as far as I'm concerned.. :(

    Yeah that's true. My brother works in a prison in Dublin and said they are calling out for co's. Fingers crossed 🀞ðŸ»

    That appears to be the old 2016 campaign before the role was given the clerical officer status from what I can see! Having said that, the file you linked has provided an insight into duties that would be relevant to this campaign! So it is extremely beneficial! More importantly, you have gone to the trouble of trying to help me. So thank you very much! That in itself is extremely appreciated! :)

    The CO status was given back in 2012 so that is the most up to date version available. If you have any queries about the job at all drop me a line ;)

    Ah but the grades were always in the following structure....


    Prison Administration Clerical Officer/Prison Administration Executive Officer etc. They have always been knows as CO's just slight different variations down the years. Then recently they decided to make it more uniform by callaing thm PCO/PEO/PHEO etc.

    They were prison administration and support officer 3 also known as PASO 3 then PASO 2 was an EO and PASO 1 was a HEO, then it changed to prison administration clerical officer (PACO) and then it changed to prison clerical officer..they just can’t make their mind up 🙈

    Which prison do you work in? 😍

    I still heard no news, I know no paso's in training so I assume none selected yet but surely if panel expiring soon they must make a decision its a massive wait time though just for interview decision

    Yeah, someone said that the panel was expiring in October earlier in the thread. I agree it is a long oul wait, but if you were interviewed on the 10th of August, that's only 3 weeks and 3 days. It will be interesting to see what this month brings!

    Both my cousins are in the prison services, two different prisons and each have said they’ve loads of vacancies, plus the interview process has been going on for such a long time the circumstances of people in front of you will have changed, I wouldn’t give up hope yet ☺️

    Well done to you both I passed too but got 34th but still hoping might get a spot people change minds or find something else in the wait time so we might get lucky. Plus we don't know how many they are taking on. I read before some dropped out due to training in portlaoise as they thought it was in dublin so many reasons people drop out. I think anywhere up to 60 there is a little chance

    Wasn't the expression of interest for Dublin/Wicklow though? Which leaves it very limited!

    I was that long waiting for a reply I forgot I applied! I got placed on the panel however I have mislaid the salary info. Can anybody tell me what the starting wage and hours are?

    If anybody on this forum is currently working clerical in a prison. Without disclosing too much but a general idea what is your daily work structure?
