Freshly roasted coffee beans online

My usual store to buy freshly roasted beans is 20 mins from my house and these days I go that direction less and less so I'm looking for an online supplier that will ship me beans roasted at least in the last 2 weeks. I go through a kg a month so a subscription would suit. Where do you recommend

We have a single origin rotating subscription with Badger & Dodo for 1kg at €26 a month, that seems to be gone now and their new subscriptions are a fair bit more expensive and have shipping charges. The rotation now has micro lots included and is €34.65 a month plus shipping and Jam Jar/Blackwater are €27.83 plus shipping.

Any alternatives to keep the price down? I see Bell Lane is €27.50 so might just go with them.

After getting Art of Coffee Smooth, Lounge and Fusion blends last month I have to say that I'm so blown away by them. Top quality stuff.

The Smooth blend in particular is exactly what I needed in this awful non-coffee shop available times.

Will be due to make another order this week so will grab a kilo of the Smooth and a couple of others. Fantastic stuff altogether.

The fusion blend I got I’m having trouble dialling in, 16g in and around 37g at around 30 seconds out which is not bad , but shot doesn’t start to pour till nearly 13-15 seconds, virtually no crema.

I’ve gone up n down coffee grinder dial...hmmm.

That's a big jump by B&D alright..Was going to subscribe..but not now

I didn't see this post earlier, but coincidentally I've gone back to Art of Coffee this month and went for the Fusion and Lounge this time. Though it appears I should have went for the Smooooooth.

A bit like myself.

It's my regular coffee, I find it easy to dial in with lots of crema. I need to make slight adjustments to the grind (grind setting 8 to 9 on my sage Pro) when the beans get slightly older (4 weeks +) as I've bought 2kg at a time the last 2 times I've bought (free shipping over €30) usually it takes me 3 weeks get through a kg. I find it's not nice and difficult to dial in on the first 5 days after roasting so usually let it sit and order well before I'm nearly out

Anyone know if Bell Lane ship their subscriptions on a specific date? They say they ship 2 days but not sure about subscriptions. Last Badger & Dodo will ship next week so don't need anything just yet.

Really disappointing to see the serious price hike on the B&D subscription - that's what I get for starting the chat thread on it!

Will be moving elsewhere when mine is up in June. I posted a list of various subs a while back so will have to dig out the post

17g in 44g out after 25 seconds although I usually extract longer 30secs for Americano. Sage grinder pro on grind setting 8

Ponaire kindly sent me a code for a fiver off (free delivery in practice) so I ordered a Colombian, Nicaraguan and Peruvian at 2am yesterday. It's being delivered this morning.

What's the general consensus on 3fe?

I'm back on an Aeropress kick (after months of moka pots using Lavazza from the supermarket) so figure I should treat myself. 3fe came to mind from their beer collab with Whiplash. I've poked around some other roasters (Badger & Dodo, West Cork Coffee...) but 3fe seem to be the most competitively priced. Plus, their €20 free shipping threshold is the most achievable for me.

Did another art of coffee order yesterday. 500g of Smooth, 250g of Nina and because the coffee has been so so good, decided to give their ice Ice baby and Irish breakfast tea a go.

Got a few coffees from wild heart recently. They gave me some Burundi coffee for free which was nice of them.

Guji Hadeso Ethiopia was really lovely. Really pronounced jasmine tea notes. You can't really go wrong with Ethiopian washed coffee.
Burundi Izubi Natural - only really worked on the clever dripper and I couldn't get anything out it on pour over. I got it for free so I can't complain. It's a bit flat for a Burundian coffee tbh.
180hr Anaerobic fermented pink borboun(Colombia) was perhaps my personal favourite. I personally love that contrast with sour/sweetness with acidity and a little spice.
