OP Stranger Things:

Welcome to Hawkins Indiana, a small town in mid 1980s America. The town is home to an American military base which just about makes it stick out differently from all the other thousands of towns along the American rust belt. Not much ever happens here...but recently a small boy disappeared suddenly on a nice Sunday evening while cycling home from his friends house after a day of dungeons and dragons.
Will the Sheriff and his merry band of wild children be able to fend of the might of the American military and some unknown dark forces and find their friend? Let us meet the cast:

Good Team

Eleven – Cannot be killed by human teams only the Demogorgon, has one time power to eliminate the Demogorgon if she correctly identifies him

Will Byers – Is connected to the Demogorgon and can sometimes sense his presence. Can pick a two hour period of time once a day to see if the Demogorgon has posted on thread in that period. Can only do this twice in the entire game.

Jim Hopper – Sheriff – Chooses daily between a bullet and daily protect.

Joyce Byers – Seer – Gets one peek per night with result after morning munch at 10am.

Evil Teams

Americans
Dr Martin Brenner – Spends his time trying to convince others that his scientific experiments are ethical and needed when dealing with the commies. As the most senior scientist in the security base, he always looks good.

Hawkins Head of Security – If he gets shot at, he will survive and receive a bullet himself. One time power

Dr Sam Owens – Has one syringe he can use at any point after day 1 one to kill. The syringe takes 6 hours to take effect.

Security Guard - Vanilla Wolf

Serial Killer
Demogorgon – Each day recruits a player to his team. Can only die by lynch or Eleven attack – When he dies his mindless band will die with him. Powers can move with players who are converted

Daily Competition will be open in the Hawkins arcade from 12 until 6pm. Details will be posted on thread at 10am each day.

Game Rules:

1) Once you are killed do not post in the thread again.DEAD PLAYERS DO NOT THANK LIVING PLAYERS POSTS

2) Don’t cheat, it’s a game that relies heavily on the players having integrity. No PMing other players in the game, and no chat about the game outside of this game thread. If you have any concerns about the game mechanics or the integrity of other players contact the mods who will make a decision. Do not discuss any of this in game or elsewhere. Always remember the mods may have secrets.

3) Please all try to reasonably contribute to the game thread and always remember to get a vote in (where it is possible for you to do so) as a minimum. There is a 5 post per day minimum limit. 2 missed votes and/or failure to hit minimum post counts twice will result in a substitution where possible or a modkill. Substitutions will be announced on thread by the game mods.

4) No posting of any PM's from the game mod or referring or alluding to the content of them or any backroom you may or may not have, without prior permission. Note that if there are new players playing, they may have been provided with backrooms to ask questions of the game mods irrespective of game role.

5) Game starts with a pre turn (night 0), followed by a flavour munch at 10am Monday morning and the lynch will be at 9pm. After 9pm Monday will be considered night 1. Role reveals will take place on thread after each death.... Most of the time.

6) Do not share your vote form password to anyone else. All votes for the lynch have to be made by yourself. Voting will be done via Google forms with the link provided in the OP, and the dedicated lynch link thread in the Werewolf Forum. In the event of a tied lynch, the lynch will be decided by last vote cast.

7) Policy on Abuse: Boards has a no-abuse rule in place that is in effect in this forum as well. By all means, call people on dodgy behaviour, point out if they are being silly or behaving strangely, be aggressive in your approach; but DO NOT abuse another player. If you feel another player has stepped over a line, the first step is to ask them to stop; if they do not, please PM a forum mod (sullivlo/Baggly/quickbeam) or use the report button on the post in question. Forum mods will investigate and action any issues at an appropriate time, keeping the game mods informed of any actions as needed.

8) Have fun, make memes, take the piss and try to enjoy the game.

9) Game Mods: Baggly and Duffman13 - Any game issues please PM the mods.

Wolf Win: Gain parity with the village with Demogorgon eliminated
Demogorgon: Outlive the wolves and gain parity with the village.
Village Win: kill all non villagers

Did we find out whether those Anon votes were an admin error? They stayed in when Duffers updated the list. Possible alt prize from the arcade or Brendan got more than one prize and threw an anon on himself to throw the scent away from him

The length of time waiting for a result of a peek concerns me. What if the person you select before lynch dies in the lynch or the next morning’s munch? Would the same time to wait apply to the lynch vote move he was also offered?

Yeah - the time delay seems crap to me, I assumed that was standard for a peek though? Not had one before
I got to pick a number from 1 to 8, so I assume the value of the prizes varies and the others might be better?

In hindsight I realise I should have stayed quiet. Last night was the one night I planned to have offline so it was crap timing and I was trying to snatch a little time here and there, I wish I hadn't won now but we are where we are. I feared staying silent would look suspicious but didn't think about the fact I was setting a target on my own back. For what it's worth, if I do get munched, my lean is that Liz is good, but it's not based on much at all really. Her posts were seemed erratic and a couple of people commented on her style so I thought she'd be a good one to have clarity on but it was a rushed decision

We didn't find out, no. But I swear I didn't! One prize was stressful enough

Well that didn't take long. Neutral enough stuff. Mentions Katie being of concern, votes for Katie. Theory that she was the doraemon because there was no conversion was an interesting take but very vaguely put.

If Duffman is only giving scores of games and not the winners names there was no need for Brendan to come forward but he did. I see no reason to distrust him.

Actually checking back Brendan didn't know names wouldn't be published. Still inclined to trust him for the moment.

Jake brings up strategy for finding DemiG using alphabetical list.
Wendy asks how it would work (breaking players up into groups).
Jake replies to Wendy saying possibly 2 or 3 groups.
Brendan suggests breaking into 4. Days one issue may be people offline within 2 hour window and it may look suspicious but the player just might not be around.
Jake replies to Brendan that all the players in each group could decide between themselves a time to suit them all.
Liz quotes Jake, Wendy and Brendan asking could a wolf be in group trying to catch Will out.
Wendy responds saying we are helping Will by putting a plan in place to assist him.
Liz replies that she does ask stupid questions.
Eva thinks Will should decide his own 2 hour window based on when 9 players have posted and should then declare on thread and then we split up that 9 players or the nine that hadn’t posted then.
Jake suggests groups of 6.
Eva goes through worst/best scenarios. Says half and half again best for results. Obv worse case is Will dying.
Necro replies to Eva saying that Will being converted bad too sending us on wild goose chase.
Trigger replies to necro saying doing plan early to avoid conversion risk.
Jake agrees with trigger saying will could come out once he tracks twice as his role is done.
Angus replies to Eva saying hers better plan than dividing by 3.
Eva replies to necros converted post saying that would be ultimate worst case.
Conor agrees that half then half again best.
Jake agrees half then half.
Necro asks is it better to scan two groups.
Jake lists groups (half then half again) in alphabetical order of players.
Conor discusses benefit of half then half.
Kathleen says she’ll do whatever she’s asked to do.
Necro tells Kathleen that she doesn’t have to do anything yet as she is group 2.
Trigger discusses the if/then scenarios.
Jake says everyone has to play their part and if a time for their group doesn’t suit then discuss it and come to a suitable time. Suggests 10-12.
Trigger says everyone should be able to post at least once in the 2 hours. Says if they definitely cannot post in that time they could be switched out for someone else.
Brendan says group and time Jake suggests works for him.
Liz asks when do group 2 post.
Trigger tells list group 2 will not post in above time slot.
Conor asks to be swapped into group 2.
Necro says he’ll take Conor’s slot.
Angus says 10-12 too early to for him to let us know.
Conor confirms swap with necro.
Liz asks Angus does he want to swap with her then.
Angus says yeah.
LeVar says he can post in that slot but if others want to take it then he’ll go to another group as hadn’t slept well
Necro says the names don’t really matter.
Trigger says he’s wfh so can post in 10-12 slot.
Angus says W should get 8 names and a sub.

Just I case I’m munched, I’m posting this timeline now. I’ll continue if I’m still here after 10. Sorry it’s long. Bolded are those swapping out of their initial time slot based on alphabetical list.

The army base was quiet and after a long weekend on duty a few of the wolves decided to head out and cause some mayhem. After a short drive through town, they found their first victim. JP Liz was strolling aimlessly through town towards the arcade.

As the car sped by a baseball bat crashed into JP Liz. JP Liz is Dead. She was a NRV

After days of strange goings on and weird noises, the village got first sight of the monster they were facing. The entire town sped in all different directions, unsure where to run to get to safety.

The demogorgon closely watched before taking one of them into his inner circle to help him do his bidding

It could be a form of backroom manipulation perhaps.

Like the Doctor can perhaps temporarily have a backroom with a good player to influence them (ie claim they are a good player, this player is bad etc)
