I'm picking up two bottles the second I'm thinking either Drumshanbo Pot Still or Knappogue 14 tough choices. I've about 100e to spend on two bottles

I've had dingle and I've had waterford and I wasn't blown away and everyone I shared with the waterford with weren't blown away either and were schocked at the price. I spent 80 pounds sterling on the waterford.

The price of young whiskey is shocking.

The others, while v nice, I would not put in same league (Bannow Island 1.1, Sheestown 1.2, Gaia 1.1). If I'd bought a full bottle for €75 of the Ratheadon I'd be happy enough, the others not so much.

To think the waterford whiskey range is competing at the same price as lagavulin 16 price wise in foreign markets is insane. How much will 10/12/15/20 year single malts be from the likes of Waterford, Dingle etc when the time comes to release them. Theres only so much the market will bare before consumers realise theyre being ripped off.
