There has always been a huge amounf of Mil traffic over the UK, it is very active, even on the weekends, Flightradar24 has a terrible habit of not showing Military, your best bet is to use ADS-B.

Why would Aer Lingus send an A330 to London and back {EI 179}. Not that busy is it ? They did it on the 8th of March too. Just curious !
