AYX - Software company, has been turbulent but I can see it going to 200
AMD - Switching from Intel
BE - Energy play for me
CIEN - Telecommunications/software leaders in their field think they have some growth
PSTH - No further introduction
SQ - Really interested in their play to become a bank and BTC payments. Banks are interested in fintech but I think fintech are more interested in banks.
CHGG - Online learning, I don't see it going any where soon - room for this stock would love to see a buy out
EDSA - I'm bag holding but will be super promising of the phase 2 trials go well for EB01/EBO5 buyer beware on this one
IAG - Want to see the damage Brexit does then will hold for a few years.

I'm also looking into some infrastructure engineering companies in the US alot of it has been put on the back foot by Trump, can't ignore it forever so should see some uptick with Biden.

Im relatively new to this so definitely not an expert but i bought some shares in Global Battery Metals REFFZ last week at 60 cents.. Just noticed they are gone up by over 100% to 1.64 today.. This is not advice just FYI if anybody wants to explore further.

Anyone here any good with Interactive Broker? I am in Ireland and it appears the only platforms which allow Irish people to trade HCMC is Trading 212, Degiro & IB.

Trading 212 - Isn't opening new accounts at present. I have joined the waiting list.
Degiro - I have provided all my docs but have been told it will be about 10days to open the a/c. Its been about that but there seems to be a backlog.
IB - My a/c is set up and I have funded it with 200 EUR.

When I went to trade on HCMC I was first told that I wasn't eligible and that I would need to set up a Margin a/c. I did this. Then I was told I needed to change my experience on trading to match the requirements for the Margin a/c and to select 'US Penny Stocks'. I did this also.
Now I am been told that I am unable to place the trade as the amount is less than 2000 EUR.

Has anyone else come across this when trading Penny Stocks on IB and do you know how I can overcome it? On another Forum someone told me to transfer my EUR to USD and leave 5EUR in my account and trade then in USD and it should work. But I don't want to go through the hassle of converting the money over if I still can't trade it. At this stage I am fed up and just thinking of pulling my money out, but on the other side I really want to trade on HCMC.

I'm up similar and never look to sell or trim it. Solid management, growth and forecast means its a long term hold for me.

Don't sell your winners. Trim it if you want some money but it's a great stock.

Anyone here got AESE? Another esports play, I bought a bunch at 1.58 a few weeks ago and it's at 2.54 now. Still only 100m market cap right now, tonnes of room to grow. Esports are more popular than regular sports nowadays. I will be holding these for a while

They're a company involved in DeFi, which is essentially the next step of Bitcoin, building financial systems that are based on crypto rather than normal currencies. This is a real longshot, one to stash in the portfolio and not to look at for a year or so. It only trades on some obscure exchanges, neither of which are on Degiro. In the UK, it's on the Aquis exchange under KR1, in Stuttgart it's on the Boirse exchange under K4H (you can buy this on Interactive Brokers). It was trading about 20c a share at Christmas, currently about 60c. I reckon it gets a run while this SEC investigation goes on, and if it goes for Nasdaq listing it would be a nice boost too.

I bought in about 2 weeks back at 50c

Great call on this (so far at least), up comfortably over 100% in a little over a week since you posted.

Recently issued a rights issue also reported bookings for the 2021 summer season down 44 per cent from the pre Covid-19 season in 2019, with 2.8m customers currently booked to travel. It plans to operate 80 per cent of summer 2019 capacity. Looks like an attractive price to get in at as a post covid recovery stock.

I wouldn't be selling SEA, it's the perfect stock for 2021 - Ecommerce + Online Gaming + Electronic Payments. Plus it's an Asian company so you're diversifying your portfolio by not being completely at the mercy of the Yanks (as much of my Portfolio is).

I bought it last year at $60, and 5 more times after that.

First Spac venture for Gary Vaynerchuk. Might never go to the moon, but could have a decent pop on merger announcement.

TUI have gone close to € 6 few times and recently as you noted they had rights issue...they got a bit of money from German govt too... for me they have huge potential.

I know many people here are invested in Lemonade already, but I really like the company Metromile.

Metromile is an american car insurance company where you pay per amount driven. They are currently expanding to the whole of the US and recently the former Uber Global Operations manager Ryan Graves joined the board of directors. He will almost certainly move to push the company global once they get established in the US.

ZSAN was one I bought into last week. Thought at 90cent it'd easily go over a dollar and I'd get a handy 10%+ but went crazy yesterday and seems to have good momentum. Wouldn't be shocked to see it hit $3 today.

ACST is another that I've some shares in, making nice gains at the moment, hopefully can go over a dollar during the week. I think their financials are due out Thursday and some talk of them announcing their future strategy so hopefully a lot of speculative money in before that.

I would be very weary of TUI right now, future bookings mean nothing at the moment especially since more experts are warning against summer 2021 holidays. They've also been told they won't be receiving any more government money and once the furlough scheme ends in the UK it looks there could be mass redundancies.

As for IAG if Aer Lingus UK operation takes off in manchester I think they'll really put a squeeze on Virgin which they're unlikely to survive giving BA even more market share. A better prospect long term.

I would put this in the beginners thread but I see many new posters watching these threads so just a bit of a ramble. Just a few notes on panic selling. If you are feeling fear/panic when you see stocks you own go down over a couple of days, perhaps you should re-evaluate if this is money you can afford to lose. Investing this way might not be for you. If the stock was akin to the goldrush moment we saw recently involving GME/AMC/BB etc, then it's pure risk you are applying to yourself. That in of itself is a valuable lesson. It's easy to throw away fundamentals and DD when hype comes along but for anyone new after seeing the previous few weeks just remember this isn't normal and won't last forever.

Which is why we should merge the threads back together as I really don't see the point in separating all this information out.

The idea of FOMO is something you need to get out of your head as well. Emotions should not override your decision making. Remember that opportunities on stocks comes and goes, if something doesn't work out or you missed a stock this quarter, just start fresh research on up and coming stocks for the next quarter. There will be dips from time to time and market corrections, if the stocks you hold has strong foundations and you can wait out a few days/weeks/months (years if it's a big event), then hold and if possible average down your position over time and be confident in your medium/long term holds. The likes of Google/Amazon/Apple aren't going away any time soon. As time goes on, the closer we are to the next crash, watch out for increased frenzy activity on almost everything, start to take profit, hold cash and wait for the dips on the stocks that will bounce back. The bubble leading towards 2008 was easy to spot if people drilled down into it but many ignored it or couldn't see the pin that would burst it but it did come. Remember March 2020 only took 5 or so weeks for market to come down 40%. I'll be watching QE + stimulus in the US along with vaccine rollouts and how all that plays out for the next few quarters, I believe there is still fuel in this engine and we've gone into 5th gear at the moment, overdrive could well be on it's way which is when I'll start diverting away.

I think the whole travel area is all over the place at the moment. Some companies like the cruise lines and some airlines down massively over the year but other airlines and hotel chains back up pushing along.

PERI ER was great, beat on revenue and EPS, however guidance at 10% growth next year seems totally out of whack. I'm expecting a pop and drop on open or just drop despite the premarket action this morning. if I could sell pre open I would do so right now (up 14.8% but that's a retail pump) and watch from the sidelines! Oh well, what will be will be.

Yeah Interactive Brokers is all I could find it on. It's listed as KR1 on a secondary UK Stock Exchange which only seems to deal through big brokers - https://www.aquis.eu/aquis-stock-exchange/for-investors/brokers

Interactive Brokers allows you to buy it on a Stuttgart exchange (as K4H)

Currently looking at the trends for SPPI, AQUA and SURF with SURF having the best looking uptrend at the minute.

I think AQUA could still shift down a little further and SPPI is just holding on it's 200 day MA, I'd like to see the uptrend continue a little longer before moving on it.

I'll look deeper at SURF but I think that's my pick for today.

EDIT: I'm adding SONN to my list here as well, has bottomed out from a long drop. They have a presentation coming up in April relating to their cancer research so there's a possibility for a little bump up later. The trend looks like it's starting to pick up but I'll add it to the watchlist for the meantime.
