Jackhammer for concrete floor

I need to install a 2 foot pipe flush with concrete floor. To put in a removable gate hanging pillar in shed.

I have about 4 or 5 inches of concrete to dig out

I was going to hire a kango out for around 40 euro for day in Clare area.
Spotted this in Aldi on Sunday.

Would this do the job or am I better getting the good tool ?

I bought the Lidl one as I wouldnt be using it a whole lot. Maybe twice a year. I was very surprised with it. It is very capable. Glad i bought it in the end because its something that will always be there now for any small jobs I might need.

removed the dash off the house last year. I had 2 no 6kg and a 9kg jack hammer rented out for 6 weeks cheaper €380 vs €550 than I could buy 1 6kg jack hammer and the work they got some days was cruel. worked hard but not abused.

Got one last year and agree with all the others above. It's a nice hefty machine, well able for anything I've thrown at it, and will be more than capable for the job you've lined up. At the price it's serious bang for your buck and with the 3 year warranty you can't really go wrong.

I have a bit of work coming up for a breaker. It won't all be done the one day, which is swaying me away from hiring. Has anyone any experience of the one linked below? Price wise, it's a lot less than a second hand Bosch, for example, and only a fraction of the cost of a new branded one (which isn't really an option). I suppose it's a case of you get what you pay for?

That reminds me of the first job I got on a placement farm as an apprentice, digging through 6 inches of the toughest concrete for gate posts and stalls in a calving shed six holes in total for railway rails. The farmer thought it would be a great idea for me to do it with a lump hammer and chisel. I did it, one evening his son arrives home from school and into the shed to ask me how it was going, I was fit to fire the chisel at him.
