Laptop Recommendations/Advice Please

Hi Guys,

In the market for a new laptop. Ideally looking for touchscreen and lightweight (I've become spoiled). Will be using for the norm movie/online streaming, photo editing, word etc but would need a good gaming chip as will use it for light gaming too. (Minecraft, Among Us, Witcher and ideally Rust).

Currently eyeing up the HP ENVY 13-ba0008na 13.3" Core i5 | 8GB | 512GB but reviews have said the fan is loud. Not a deal breaker but wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions for similar or any overly negative experiences with this laptop!

I'd like to keep under the €1000.

the hp envy13-ba0553sa in pcworld with the mx350 is about as good as you can hope to do for your requirements imo and it's down to €800

anything else better is well over 1000 in the slim and light category

any laptop of that size running a game will have the fans on.

the model you mention 13-ba0008na without the mx350 gpu card won't run much in the way of games aside from very basic ones

Here's a comprehensive review (review applies as i7 cpu is not much different from the i5 in the mobile u cpu range really, less than 10% in cpu stakes and gpu is the same )

will run those games that you mentioned fine even allowing for the heat mgt / thermal throttling that really thin and light chassis laptops like that will have going on

as said, a very good deal for 800
