Yeah I think it has to be airborne before 12pm for him to be allowed to use it for one last flight. But the bet is 'Where will Trump be at 12pm EST on 20th Jan' and I went with Florida at evens. I need it to be taking off by 9.30am EST to stand a chance of that happening and his farewell reception begins at the military airfield at 8am. Was reading that one set of the nuclear codes will be on the plane and another set close to Biden. At 12pm the set on Air Force 1 will deactivate and the set in Washington takes over.

I only had 20 quid on it but its always nice to beat the bookies regardless of winnings. I was more concerned that he would go on some long rant of a speech at Andrews Airbase and it would be delayed. Thankfully not

Yeah it was at evens three weeks back but at the time I laid the bet it was also the around the time that there were online articles about US secret service activity at a Scottish airport near to his golf course over there, media speculation was rife that he might go golfing in Scotland. I was nearly getting convinced by it myself but had a rethink. Soon after Nicola Sturgeon came out and said playing golf is not an essential activity and basically that he wasnt welcome there during a pandemic.

Florida and Mar a Lago was always his most likely destination anyway, he spent practically every weekend there during his presidency. After I laid it the odds went down to 4/7 about a week later and then on the 17th they went down again to 1/10. The bet then really became about if he would make it to Florida by 12pm which thankfully he did with an hour to spare.
