Due to the salary cap in the NFL, the demand for top quality QBs and the fact that they're the highest paid position you'd be surprised at how bad a back-up can be. Certainly there's a huge disparity between Mahomes and anyone who'd be willing to be a back-up.

Mahomes is arguably the best in the league and you are going to a guy that has more interceptions than touchdowns. He is 35 years old and Mahomes already has more TDs than him. He has played less than 10 games in the last 7 years. Completed around 70 passes in those games. It's really not understating it.

I did like the chick talk yesterday but in fairness what lampard was talking about in that interview was experience in the premier league.

Also, I hate when US Murph talks about any back up player coming in the NFL. He did admit it a bit at the end but these are highly trained/skilled/paid backups and prepare exactly for these scenarios. He always makes it sounds like they pick the replacement from the stands.
