Christians aren't driving NoFap. I believe religious discussion is banned on most NoFap forums. This is because it's off putting to non religious people.

But there are separate smaller forums for Christian NoFappers. I'm not sure why you single out Christians, Jews Muslims Hindus would have similar beliefs.

Thought in sports is divided on that actually. In my combat training I have had trainers suggest abstaining from sex and masturbation before a fight. I have had trainers suggest the exact opposite. This is _opinion_ only and not backed up by evidence.

What sports people can and should do is work out what works best for _them_ and keep doing that. As should you. If an individual finds it gives them an advantage - real or placebo - then they should definitely do that. But no one else should take this as evidence of any actual benefit.

But working out what works for you then merely selecting the sports people who do the same as you while ignoring the ones that do not - is just what is known as "confirmation bias".

I think noFap is a nice life choice if it gives you a benefit but as prior poster suggested, perhaps it's more of a mental thing for you Fran?

Can only speak for myself but I feel relaxed after a ****, helps me get to sleep or unwind after work, leave the day behind. There are lots of bad ways to release endorphins but while science and popular belief is that masturbation is not one of them, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Porn is related but I think it's also its own thing. You can masturbate without watching porn as I often do. I do find excess porn is a lot on the brain, too much for the senses, akin to how my body would receive a sh*t load of sugar.

I think your first paragraph is spot on Thermo. I can masturbate often without any negative impact but if I watch too much porn I find myself getting shorter tempered/shorter attention span. Ask a doctor.

I passed a kidney stone during sex once. It was very small but I felt it acutely and it freaked me out. Sorry to hear you passed something large and hard as it must have been horrific.

You could google kidney stones and see if it looks like one of those. (Though still a good idea to mention it to a doctor one way or another.)
