I'm not sure who it was but there was a google drive going around to collect results...is there any info stemming from that yet to suggest that the marking is a shambles?

Surely the examiners would have noticed that and looked into it too.

Me thinks that due to the economic crash from covid the LS are using their monopolistic funnel system to control the amount of qualifying lawyers. Little demand = little supply. An over supply would result in reduced wages and all that jazz.

This is definitely the worst reaction to FE1 results I have see in this thread going back years. Maybe something did go seriously wrong. I don't understand how so many of us could have been awarded marks in the thirties for so many subjects. When was the last time that happened to anyone before this sitting?

I didn't know they had to send it within 30 days! After the March sitting they took 152 days from the date of my request to send it to me haha

Unfortunately likely one of the reasons they're not budging on the March sitting is to allow people to start TCs in April

Sitting these exams are very isolating apart from linking up with people on here. I noticed someone put up a mental health phone line on here which is completely justified. There is no support from the law society the sheer shock of today’s marks for a lot of people including myself would knock the stuffing out of you. You are alone receiving your results and have already completed your degree in most cases so you cannot ask your marker for personal advice on how to improve. Without paying lots of money for prep courses or tuition you are completely alone regarding support.

I was actually surprised when I first saw the timetable that it was March given the Autumn sitting was late, thought April would make more sense to compensate for that and then they can go back to standard routine next October.

I just can't fathom why they didn't push out the March sitting, even 2 weeks would make a huge difference, they're going to be up against tight deadlines too, which are bound to be impacted by COVID somewhat (as has been evident to date). It's just a complete lack of common sense.

yep i'm taking the chance. not going to wait around for the script to appear weeks past the recheck application deadline

Yeah, re-checks close January 29th (If memory on the form today serves me right). With the rate the LS work, by the time I get a script will be well past this date. I'm not leaving anything up to chance with them.

Can’t see there being one in august as there was the same issue with not enough time between the results and the sitting in October which lead to the first petition to get the exams pushed back till November

The August sitting was only because they didn't have the opportunity to write the final FE1 topics in March. There was only a small number of people left to write. The fact they were in August and not sooner was appalling, actually.

If anything, they should be pushing these exams as a whole out to April, because it has affected all FE1 topics receiving the results so late. Not to mention to make up for the month lost from the November exams.

I’ve seen a good few people that have emailed but they haven’t even responded to them
