I am starting this with the intention of posting selections for Horse Racing.

Nowt is certain in this game. Hence the title.

One to start off with.

Wolverhampton 7.15 Zafaranah

Mrs Barclay's Mare had a return to form last week when 2nd at the course over the extended mile. The horse has won before at this time of year, and is twice a Course and Distance winner off ratings higher than what she's assessed at tonight.

Available to back at 15/2 and bigger, I give it an each way chance here. Drawn 9 of 11 aint ideal, but I had no say in the box allocation.

I wish myself the best of luck with my thread, and hope to provide many winners and big priced placers.

A standing dish on this thread - put up three times and yet to oblige. Is one from 2 at the course, has his ideal conditions tomorrow. If the jockey Shane Gray can drop him in from his 8 seat i expect a big run... Jockey and trainer combo are 2 from 5 recently. Have had a decent each way bet on him myself. He should go very close on the back of a very good run lto over a little shorter at Newcastle; when he was gaining at the end.

A tricky race here, and there seems to be a lot of pace on in this Class 4 over 6fs. Global Warning a lto winner over 6fs in a Class 5 is a best-priced even money favourite, and looks worth taking on to me.

An open looking race here, with the exception of the Dave Evans fav; who won impressively lto. There are probably another couple in this that have stronger winning claims than the selection. He has, however come fourth and third the last two times that he tackled this exact trip ( the extended mile, or 1m 142yds to be exact). Currently 12 go to post, so as long as that remains the case 4 places at a fifth are available.

Will also do the favourite as well:

6.00 Wolves Ten Chants 15/8 win

A short enough price for the thread, but should be even shorter I reckon, and might well go off at 5/4-11/8. This grey 4yr old won as easy as you like over C & D last week, and a replication of that effort should see him sluice home here.

So, the picks are both in the 6.00 at Wolves and are AL OZZDI, and TEN CHANTS.
