Nearly all the food places in Mahon are open for take away.
There's a few places open their and more are meant to be opening for Click and Collect in January.

Well the government will have to stop call and collect then.
They were shopping centers/retail parks and they looked like normal the last time around.
They allowed it last time and they must feel it's a safe thing to do.

Click and collect is probably one of the safest things you can do. Do you want the economy to just implode or what?

I disagree, especially when the food court is open so some people will take the piss and end up eating there.

Exercise, getting food, medication etc is essential. Someone collecting a new pair of jeans is not. Get the cases down and then they can reopen.

Hospitality has been closed since the 24th which is about a week and a half, and yes, it's best to increase restrictions as much as possible and get figures down lower faster imo. We've gone well past October numbers here so should be doing stricter lockdown than what we had back then.

Closing down as much avenues of it spreading seems pretty sensible to stop it spreading. Click and collect for non essential products is an avenue of it spreading. It might not be huge but it is an avenue, both for customers and the workers in those places.

On the covid app it’s showing as 660 per 100k there. For comparison, Cork City South East is at 450 per 100k.

Both might be a bit worse than that because the numbers are old now & backlog not included but you get the idea.

It’s probably them being tired and possibly forgetting themselves in certain situations.
Now I’d 100% believe they caught it in the community too, some amount of fûcking idiots who can’t wear masks correctly or not sanitising either
