Yes. Germany has a lead in time of over 15 years and their age profile is much higher than Ireland's.

Just for the record, Labour and Fianna Fail both supported retaining the retirement age prior to the last election and why the retirement age isn't going up to 67 next year. Fine Gael's are pushing this. Maybe if they kept control of spending on Children's Hospital and Broadband people might listen to them on this issue.

Yep, shows the poor state of Irish politics. They all jumped on board reducing the pension age without a hint of an idea what they will do long term.

It seems SF is pushing it most at the moment so they need to justify their actions, which they are not doing IMO.

Green Party were against fluoridation too and have a worse record than SF when it comes to public health matters.

Up until 2016;

I think they may have heard it on the door steps. People were sick of hearing of Fine Gael finding plenty of money to pour away taxpayers money to their big business friends.

I've no doubt they heard it on the doorsteps, but that's hardly a justification of their pension plans?

Sf could well be in government next GE, so the excuse of wasting money on business friends won't wash. What then?

I lost respect for that paper during the election. Two to three of the top stories were about Paul Quinn or using Lyra McKee's photo on articles about SF. Nothing on the ongoing national crises.

No one knew that cooking food sterilizes it? It was a stupid comment.

When it spread to Italy did people need reassuring that frozen pizza was safe to eat or their local Italian ?

I did search around a bit for stuff on Chinese chicken importation and covid and the only country I found claiming covid was coming into their country via chicken importation was China of all places...

(and probably on packaging)

why bring it up on a radio show? its spreading rumor, TDs have a direct line to the HSE where they can get their queries responded to.

granted it was the presenter who brought in the chinese fast food angle Stanley was referring to supermarket shredded chicken

Stephen Collins article today could have been written by Ernest Blythe or Arlene Foster...basically it's 'if you are Irish republican or nationalist you must reform how you view your past' everyone else gets a pass it would seem. Getting schooled a bit in the comment section.

That's the way it goes in Western countries, the parties that are perceived to have the greatest chance of becoming leader of the country get to debate

I didn't see Jo Jorgensen or Howie Hawkins at the US Presidential Debates or even Jo Swinson at the UK one.

RTE couldn't have predicted things would have turned around so substantially because it never had before.

I would suggest that your memory is off kilter.

From memory, Sinn Fein were competing with FG/FF from early January in the polls.

You do realise that those comments were made on 9th March, 2020 when no one had a clue about Covid other than that it originated in wet markets in China.

Hindsight is great.
