Usually park in one for the plethora of car parks on the Dublin road side of town for a quick exit after the game. Nice walk up to the ground from there.

Also, usually come in on the N3 head to Enniskillen from there which means you come into Omagh from the other side and miss the Dublin traffic. But I doubt that's going to be too much of an issue for you on Sunday now that I think of it. Ha.

I'll be coming from Ashbourne so the N3 could be ideal tbh. Will stick it into Google maps tomorrow and figure it out. If there are loads of car parks I'll just throw it into one. Only ever passed through omagh with work so pretty unfamiliar with the town..

Google has an awful habit of ignoring those of us with knowledge of Ireland. It's gas, I got as far as Cavan town and it still insured I head east.

I have a massive hatred of being in traffic in Emyvale and Aughnacloy so I'll almost always go N3 unless I've stayed in Dungannon the night before.

If the crowds in town are not too bad you should park up toward the hotel and the stadium. Otherwise my suggestion.

Appreciate the suggestion. I may chance the hotel. Have already seen a number of lads not travelling tomorrow with this weather warning in place, lots of others getting buses so traffic may not be bad if such a small crowd are travelling up from home. Handy to know your route for bigger days though. Ty

Yep. Only 90 minutes from me so was better than Omagh. Left Ashbourne out the N2, head towards Drogheda and get on the M1, up through Armagh, Moy and into Dungannon. All done very smoothly. And weather wasnt as bad as expected bar 1 shower before throw in.

Must say the young girls working in the little shop are a credit to their club. About 6 or 8 of them buzzing around a little cabin and no older than 14 or 15, possibly even younger. Absolutely no Q at all and all eager to get people served. Was much appreciated when I went for a cuppa tae. Also was able to pay and get change in euro. Well run show on such short notice.

I never knew that Edendork was in Dungannon, I always heard of it an assumed it was a rural parish around Omagh or somewhere. I don't think i've ever seen a Tyrone club ground before even though I live 15 minutes from Moortown and Ardboe.

Bad day yesterday, as heavy a defeat as I can remember under Mickey. The red card decision had a massive impact, and then Frank Burns going just sent the whole thing to sh*t.
I think Galway were always going to win however we were coming back at them well after half time, with 15 v 15 we would have ran them tight.

Still unconvinced about D McCurry. He can kick all the nice frees in the league he wants, but when championship comes hes been well tried and tested at this point. Hope he proves me wrong this year but he doesn't delivered when it's squeaky bum time, can't win his own ball due to size.

The John Small's we once had are all gone. Need a few of those knocking around. Yet we're still lambasted as the masters of dark arts and cynicism.

I'd argue with any man than Dublin are the worst at it at present. Closely followed by Kerry. Media, Journalists, Sports podcasts, and most importantly TV Coverage being RTE turn a blind eye to it. But if we bring this to them it's labelled "poor us Anti Ulster Agenda"

Terrible news about Cathal also, hearing it isn't a break this morning but will probably be a few months at the very least!?

It is an argument you would lose. Dublin are in no way cynical and most pundits including Sean Kavenagh have recognised this. They actually have one of the best disciplinary records of the top sides. You mention Johnny Small. Small is similar to Shaun Teale big and strong but neither dirty but wont get pushed around.
In my opinion Tyrone have turned nasty and cynical in last few seasons. Jack McCaffrey was taken off to protect him as anytime he moved he was been dragged and dunted every time he moved.. Similar to David Clifford. Sly digs, third man tackles, off the ball niggling and digging with a few lads trying to get opponents sent off have crept in and it is not nice. While this has also happened to Tyrone players who have been wrongly sent off, no Dublin player will lay on the ground as we saw the week before when David Byrne hopped up after getting hit against Donegal, that is more manly than a sly dig. .

My honest opinion is Tyrone need a change of management. Mickey Harte has been brilliant not just for Tyrone but in general people like him, a great ambassador for Tyrone. But like Sean Boylan, Mick O'Dwyer has he stayed too long?

If Tyrone go out and play direct football they have 14 outfield players who can score, who can compete with anyone and beat anyone. Peter Harte needs a central role as does Tiernan McCann. The players are there but hey need a new voice, and a lot of Tyrone people say they same

My points about Dublin are fair and accurate.

I had Tyrone as the team to topple Dublin, no one else. Personally I have huge respect for the players, the skill level of everyone of them is as good as any team I have seen and better than most which I believe is where they need to concentrate and a fresh approach. The respect the 86 team, 95 team, and the early 00s is getting lost among people and the "vibes" that follow the current squad is not doing them any favours, it is working against them.

A new voice and a fresh approach as Dublin did around 2009/10 changed attitudes not only of players but of people around the game.

I had waited from 1995 on a duel between us and then we got the damp squib in 2018.

Yer recent championship run v Kerry ain't great.

You ruined my day in 2015 as well when Colm's hospital pass took Petey out of it.

Ye, Donegal and Mayo are barred from being my last hope of stopping Kerry either getting to a final or beating them in a final. Can't hack it.

Kerry are getting mighty close and are a young team at that.... mayo had a few great finds in the league of new players

I posted this in the AFL thread, but its just been announced that Conor McKenna has tested positive for coronavirus in Australia. Their AFL match today has been postponed between his AFL side Essendon and Melbourne. Unfortunate luck for him as he was set to return to play today also.

Good to see conor McKenna in the lineup, however I’m not expecting much from him, we’ve seen before how lads coming back from Aussie rules can take ages to adjust, and in some cases- not at all unfortunately.

Wouldn’t very confident in that forward line at all, where the scores will come from. I hope Darren mccurry proves me wrong, but he’s never done it when it matters for county. If he could ever just do what he does at club level on one day he’d be flying.

Would Peter Canavan be the standout candidate to replace Mickey Harte if Mickey isn't interested ( nor successful in getting a further 3 year term )?

This thread doesnt see much action but all the best to Mickey Harte in whatever he does next. His teams broke my heart over the years but he bows out a legend owing the game and Tyrone nothing. I'm not sure about other counties but he enjoys iconic status in Kerry. Best of luck to him.
