The 2020 U.S. Election Irregularities.

There seems to be lots of irregularities in the US election counting and gathering of votes, I'm still just monitoring the news coming in and I'll have more to say tomorrow.

Trump has launched a few lawsuits already, have any of his legal arguments got merit?

I saw earlier that 180,000 votes were added to the tally in Arizona and everyone of the votes were for Biden, not 1 for Trump which is very strange.

Paul Murray is extremely pro-Trump, he repeats baseless and debunked claims, and it's clear he doesn't understand what the election official says.

In an election of millions of people, if you put a fine tooth-comb through it, it's likely there will be a couple of a cases where a voter managed to vote twice, or there was a fraudulent vote - the election official acknowledges this. He then says it's extremely unlikely that happened 10,000 times for one candidate.

He's saying it because when it turns up there some double-votes, there will be people out there who don't understand that, who will decide everything was rigged.

Isolated cases are not the same as systematic. Trump is claiming systematic election fraud happened. There is no evidence of that so far. He made these same claims in 2016, and they turned out to be baseless.

The "other guy" "bringing in votes at 4am" was a news camerman and he was bringing in his equipment for the early morning news coverage of the counting process.

US intelligence agencies concluded Russia did meddle in the 2016 US election.

There's no evidence of widespread election fraud in the 2020 election as of yet. In contrast to that there is overwhelming evidence that Trump makes systematically false claims. For example, he made the same claims about the 2016 election which turned out to be false.

Voter fraud in the US is remarkably rare

It's a shame he didn't mention the fake ballot drop boxes. It would have added so much credibility. They were proven in court.

The "popularity" of the candidates consists in their having received large numbers of votes. But this is mainly an artefact of the fact that US has a larger population than it did in the past, for which neither candidate can claim credit. (Though, in fact, Trump has done his bit to reduce the population with his appalling approach to pandemic management.)

If we ask ourselves "which president secured the greatest share of the available votes?", the answer is Ulysees S. Grant, who in 1868 secured the votes of 42.6% of those eligible to vote. By this measure, Biden (who on figures to date has secured the votes of 34.48% of those eligible to vote) is only the 19th most popular president, just behind Eisenhower (1956, 34.54%) and just ahead of Zachary Taylor (1848, 34.42%). Sharpies were fine and didn't spoil the ballot

Multiple officials in Michigan debunked the claim that ballots marked with Sharpies will not be counted.

Tracy Wimmer, a spokesperson for the Michigan Secretary of State’s office, confirmed to the Associated Press that Sharpies are an acceptable method of marking ballots.
