The difference in the discretion that is allowed with some involved with government contracts is a startling contrast to the authoritarian style monitoring of those less well off in society.

That's the biggest issue I see, the tax payer will pay millions for a general election to get what? another bunch of idiots to replace the current bunch we have in place?

Based on the posts here would would think the opposition are incredible and squeaky clean. They are far from that and in reality are no better if not worse than FF/FG. The only ones that seem anyway decent are the parties which are too small to do anything about it.

Fired after being found out. They were aware for months that they shouldnt have the money. Accepting money given to you in error is a crime.
Varadkar is not guilty of a crime but regardless of the waste of time no confidence motion he is damaged.

Yep, that's usually how these things go, labour court doesn't look kindly on employers firing people until they have a very good reason.

Im no fan of the current regime. Let's get that straight. But the topic of electric scooters is an important one and should be discussed by the government.

Well at least they paid it back, it will be a cold day in hell before Darragh Murphy pays back what he took.

Look FF, FG and SF are as bad as each other, you can bet that there is a lot of dodgy stuff going on with people claiming money they shouldn't and only when they are caught do they put there hands up. There should really be a zero tolerance on this carry on and any TD's found to scamming the system or what ever you want to call it should lose their seats simple as that and it should be made clear to them all that this will be the consequences if they are found to be doing these sort of things. At the moment this "mea culpa" excuse has gone too far.
