Argos do have good deals on printers every now and again. I picked up an epson one for €25 down from about €60 a few years back.

There was at least 20 in stock in the few branches I checked when that deal was first posted. More likely a misprice than a phantom deal.

Christ, the LEGO10 code is pointless when Argos are way more expensive than the likes of Smyths (let alone Amazon).

The chappy website that hasn't had any money spent on it (unlike the Uk) one isn't even mobile optimised.

There was 8 in stock in Blackpool Cork when I ordered.

Maybe it's more the fact you're 3 days late to the party, and they've fixed their error?

That seller doesnt post replacement cartridges to ROI unfortunately

I keep forgetting about that. I get a lot of stuff from Amazon and a lot of it can be delivered to a choice of post offices just across the border from me. For other items I can use a relation's address there so I never have to worry about sellers who only ship to UK addresses.

You can also get the refillable ink set. The whole kit is around €30. Most other cartridges don't need the empty reset chip cartridges and ink kits are less than €20 without them

I have refilled a few different cartridges, and not had any issues. But I have read of some people getting inferior ink, or forgetting to clean heads. So best to double check before buying (as with the unofficial replacement cartridges).

I've been struggling to find certain things in Argos recently, and was really missing checkargos, so I decided to download @witnessmenow's code from github and have a mess around.

So far it's just a proof of concept, but I seem to have the basic mechanics working.

Just an update, have messaged witnessmenow, and he said he potentially has a bit of time coming up next week to have a look at getting the site back up and running properly, so I'll just wait to see how he gets on.

He would have a much nicer version of the site than the old php one I pulled off github, and now that he knows that most of his old work still works fine with a few minor mods hopefully he gets it working again ahead of Xmas coming up
