If Gemma and Dee's followers are a yardstick to extremism there should be nothing to worry about. Gem is possibly a paranoid schizophrenic although she is consistent so maybe just paranoid. Dee is an angry ant and the followers just tagging along maybe as their own lives are miserable. Patriots my hole.

Counter protesting doesn't mean Izzy wasn't innocent, you say she's undeserving of such an attack but then justify it to some extent which is bizarre.

You seem to be trying to deny or downplay that they're far right... Some may have been in the Irish left at one point or another but they clearly found a more welcoming home for their views in the far right.

I dont think Dee and Gemma are far right. They're just assholes, anti consensus, anti establishment. I really believe that if what they perceived to be the majority were anti lockdown and anti masks, they would be full on pro lockdown and masks! Same with things like abortion and gay marriage referendum, they'd just vote against the consensus. There's just people who are d1cks like that, just anti what they view the majority to be against. They're just reactionary and like to be in conflict with other people. I know a few people from home who come out with the most outlandish stuff online just to get a reaction and social media is the perfect echo chamber for their views to go unchallenged. There's 1 guy in particular who has 5000 Facebook friends and under his mad statuses regularly gets called a genius and with a solid world view. Yet anyone who knows him in reality knows he's an absolute eejit!

I think Gemma has issues with rejection now, she courted the SF vote before the Presidential election and appealed to Panti Bliss, now shes very anti SF and very open in her homophobia since she was rejected by them.
