Gymnast Laurie Hernandez may have trouble finding the strike zone, but what she lacks in accuracy, she makes up for in style.

The 16-year-old member of the gold medal-winning Final Five took her acrobatic skills to Citi Field on Saturday night when she threw out of the first pitch for the New York Mets.

Wearing the team’s jersey with her name on the back and the number 16 (her age), Hernandez took the mound. She removed her gold medal from her neck and performed a perfect aerial cartwheel before releasing the ball. The pitch was a bit wide, but Hernandez didn’t seem to mind, showing off the smile that earned her the nickname the “human emoji.”

Teammate Madison Kocian also added some flare when she threw out the first pitch for her favorite MLB team, the Texas Rangers, also on Saturday.

The Dallas native showed off the incredible strength that helped her take home the silver medal in the uneven bars with a difficult handstand and walkover before tossing the ball right over the plate and into the catcher’s mitt.

Both gymnasts also had the chance to meet some of their favorite players during their appearances, and it was a big deal. Kocian even ranked getting an autographed bat from Adrian Beltre over getting a hug from Beyoncé while presenting her with a VMA.

“That’s hard, but I’d have to go with Beltre,” Kocian told Sports Day. “Beyonce was very nice and it was awesome meeting her with my teammates and presenting her award [at the VMAs], but I have to go with Beltre. I am a very big Rangers fan.”

New Jersey native Hernandez was excited to meet star pitcher Noah Syndergaard, even though the two athletes have a notable height difference.

“He’s just a tiny bit taller than me no biggie,” the Olympian captioned an Instagram photo with the Mets pitcher.

Although her baseball career didn’t work out, Hernandez will soon turn in her leotard for dancing shoes as a member of the new cast of Dancing with the Stars. Although her body is clearly capable of a lot, she’s not so sure about her ballroom skills.

“Our gymnastics routines are choreographed, but this is something totally different,” she says. “I did take ballet when I was a little girl, but I don’t really remember it. And it was nothing like the training I’ll get now.”

Hernandez will be partnered with seasoned pro Val Chmerkovskiy throughout the season.

Very clever. I bet you watch 'Only Connect'. I think that might have been a bit too complicated for most of us. You should definitely think about getting a team together for 'Only Connect'. You've the perfect thought processes for it!

OK I was trying to make it a bit more challenging/ interesting than just a picture of a house for "A House".

Also tried to go for mainstream artists rather than obscure (though poor old Jim Diamond was probably a bit niche, -big hit for him back in the day though
