Hi guys, does anyone know if its possible to withdraw from an exam at this stage or is just not sitting it my only option? If so, does anyone know how that would come up on my results like would it come up as a fail and would potential employers see this or have to be made aware of it? I was overly ambitious signing up for 3 so late and won't be starting a TC next year anyway so no need to cram them all in. Thanks

In previous years the only way to get a refund was to have a doctors note, but dunno where they stand on that now since we'll all be at home anyway

There's some pretty interesting psychological advantages to doing an exam at home.

If you're able to recreate the conditions in which you studied and revised the material (for me, it's sitting at my desk in my study chewing bubblegum) your memory recollection and ability to recall material is vastly improved over shivering in some strange exam hall 2 hours from home.

Familiarity is so important for us. It's why so many people are upset at having to do typed exams because they haven't prepared that way. Same goes for our memory.

Anyone have condensed constitutional law notes? v. desperate here..can swap sample answers to 2019, notes, lawschool revision workshop ect for any of the subjects (except don't have these for criminal or contract)

I'm so unsure which of the books are usable/out of date and so confused and stressed

I got a message on Facebook at 7am(!!!) from the Law Society saying that additional information had been uploaded on to the website and that my "very specific questions" should be emailed to the relevant email... There is no new information on the website from what I can see and my "very specific questions" were will we be able to go to the bathroom and will we be allowed use pages for rough work...

They were definitely more flexible about withdrawing without a doctor's note in August but not sure if that will change now that they're online, no harm in contacting them to ask I'd say! I'm sure there's many in the same boat who optimistically signed up for an extra one (including myself) so hopefully they will be understanding

Has anyone heard anything about the time set for the mock exam on Thursday? I work full-time, no chance of me being able to just hop out for a while without prior arrangement and the closer it gets, the less likely that is. Am getting worried we're not going to hear from the LS again until Thursday morning!

It still says on the LS website that details would be released last Friday. Its after 12 now

Hi all, for those sitting for the first time were you issued an exam number online when your application was approved? I am no longer at the address I used when I registered, and am a bit worried a letter got sent there w my number in it.
Also I haven't received any further emails about the mock on Thurs so assuming they are still trying to correct their mailing lists. If anyone does get that email today with time/more info could please share the details here? Working FT so might be tricky to get the time off at this stage in the game.

Probably not. I started to revise for only Torts 2 weeks before the exam and got luckier than I ever have in my life and managed to pass. But 3 subjects within that period of time? Don't think so.

Tbh it depends on you and your level of knowledge. If you know the topics and just need to put case law around them you could do it. It will also depend on the amount of time you have. If you can study 8 to 12hrs for 14 days it might be doable.

You need to sit down and look at the past papers. See if you can pick out the topics and issues. You really need to be honest with yourself and if you can't you need to ask the question should you sit it.

As to if you should cut one and which is easier, it depends on you as well. Which of the three is the hardest for you? Again look at the papers and see what you can do.
