There is a huge new euro shop between Maxi Zoo and Boots.
It is pretty good too:)

I have to say it is nice seeing new shops opening up locally.

Sign up on the place beside Yeah Burgr, it's a Mexican food place called Besburritos (can't remember if that was mentioned before?).

There is literally no results on Google for "Besburritos":

I've used them 3 times and had issues each time, most recently a few weeks ago.
Nice food but badly run.

Not to be pedantic, it's a common error but I think that school, like most others, is multi denominational and not non denominational.

Yeah they got caught on the hop when the lockdown was announced. I ended up collecting rather than wait for the delivery. Totally worth it for the food you get.

Prob best take out in the town. Shout out to Maams Indian as well.

Re Kin Khao, great food but we have had a few issues with their takeaway service. Nothing lately but they struggled at first and again when re-opening after initial lockdown.

The site location is odd. From the image I saw on Facebook the school will be at northern end of the education campus, right next to the county boundary by the bridge, and not next to its present location. But according to the planning for the secondary schools this land next to the bridge was to be reserved for future road realignment.

While its not a "new" shop, Donovans has converted what was the seating area - won't be needing one of them any time soon - in to a specialist food section. Charcuterie, cheeses, higher quality pasta, some Asian ingredients etc. If you don't live nearby you might not have gone in; but there's products there you won't get in the supermarkets even

And while its not a shop at all; this sort of functions as the general Maynooth thread - planning is in for the second Gaelscoil, out by the new secondary schools. This is a non-denominational one, the existing one is run by a Dublin Diocese linked body.

The frites hut at Circle K has got planning now

Went out to get take out lunch today and a lot of places were VERY quiet, but some at the other end of the scale with huge queues.

I'd recommend anyone who finds a huge queue goes to check somewhere else as I'd be worried some can't possibly be making enough to keep the doors open and the staff working.

That key cutting place has been there forever. Used to bring the kids to the barbers, but the youngest used to scream the place down. (We cut it at home now.)

The barbers that was closed in Manor Mills has knocked through in to the (also closed) key cutting place, been fully refit and is now a Boston chain barber. May be completely new operators, never used it so don't know. Doesn't seem to focus on the kids seats like the old one did.

That's from 2018 and its to alter the noise levels on their aircon units; was refused and upheld on appeal. I've no idea why they haven't taken the notice down!
