Simple reason for the numbers they have in the dail and elsewhere. They have policies that people actually vote for and they aren't out and out scrotes like the national party and ACI

Could've said the same about Trump prior to 2016. People voted for him becuase they were so disillusioned with mainstream politicians.

Eventually when people get so disillusioned with mainstream politicans they will be pushed over the edge and vote for "far right nazi" candidates the same has happened with the rise of populism across Europe. We see Salvini in Italy, AfD in Germany, Le Pen in France, Vox in Spain, Wilders in the Netherlands etc.

When migrant crime goes throught the roof which it will if we do not toughen our stance on immigration. People will start voting for anyone who will try to sort it out if those people are Gemma or the NP they will vote for them regardless.

I suspect you think this is a bad thing, using the council as a stepping stone to the Dail?
It's actually the way these fringe candidates should have approached it, rather than thinking that going straight for the Dail, EUP or even the Presidency is the way to do it.
Work bloody hard for no money in a ward of a constituency for 2 years before the local elections, get on the council, build your core vote, spread the message into other parts of the constituency. Serve your time, lose narrowly in a general election, get in on the next one.

Too many of them feel entitled to be Master of the Universe after 2000 posts on facebook and 10 minutes on the telly.

Some will but they tend to be a bit thick or end up regretting it.
The one thing about Trump getting his shot, was that he emboldened the likes of those you quoted into thinking that they might have a chance, but the way he's fu*ked things up so that it's mainly conspiracy theory believers and out and out arseholes who support him without question.
Le Pen as an example, got rid of her father from the party and brought in policies that more people would vote for, such as civil partnership for same sex couples, but blew it with the usual screw ups and familiar habit of being involved financially with Russian banks which didn't go down to well with a lot of French people.

not sure it has failed; though for some maybe - but when indigenous people are failed by the State also, the State does not give a tot.

It's that 'up to 50 billion euros' that chimes well with Fine Gael - who will be very happy to cater to immigrants; and the Fianna Fail investors will seep down State money for their investor houses, that is the roof for immigrants.

Trump may win, [i'm ok with that]; But, the u.s.a. is gonna' focus on their own industry as, the Dollar, after all, is their currency. Here, do Ireland make the mistake of not completely understanding that here is not a State of the u.s.a.? Is Ireland ready for that reality?

Yup, because Gemma and her ilk come across as halfwits and Mary screeching from Facebook gone mental. They offer no alternative for mainstream Ireland. The same mainstream Ireland wants centrists and old faves, with centre right sometimes and centre left other times(with a large side order of parochial interest). Our default is middle of the road, it'll be grand, which is a good thing, as it has meant we've tended to avoid the extremes down the years. I can't see that changing except maybe in some urban areas which are more likely to feel the shocks of recession and competition for resources.

Social Democrats do now, they didn't in 2016.

The reason NP, ACI, IFP get nowhere, apart from their vile policies and repellent personalities, is that they can't be bothered actually doing the long and very hard work to succeed in politics - become active in their communities, voluntary bodies etc., get elected as a councillor, build an electoral base and only then try for the Dail. Instead you have Gems trying to get into the European Parliament in one leap! Mad.

The problem is that the perception is that it worked for Trump. Just leap in with a load of noise and you'll get elected.

They don't seem to realise that Trump was mega famous for 35 years before he ran.

Gemma failed in the by ('19) and general (' 20) ections. Both of these she was running in North side constituencies having never done a tap of work in those constituencies previously and hasn't been seen out that way since. During the campaign trail she mostly went around these areas calling the them kips and calling anyone who wouldn't vote for her "Traitors".
This left most voters scratching their heads asking "who the **** is that mouthy posh bint slagging off my area?".

In the European election her image was very prominent on the side of buses. If anyone bothered to look her up out of general interest they would have found a candidate whose party line and message (their 10 pillars) weren't matching the candidates online rhetoric. What she says she and ACI stands for seldom matches what Gemma says in her online broadcasts. If a candidate doesn't campaign on the core principles of the party they founded then who is going to believe in them?

She failed in getting a nomination for the Presidential race as she was left looking for votes from people who distrusted her genuineness in the reasons for her appeal for their nomination. Panty Bliss and Sinn Fein were proved right in smelling a rat in this instance.

Gemma failed in her election bids because she lacks sincerity. She is a bad liar that overestimates herself and underestimates everyone else.
