The key elements include six high speed charging hubs on motorways capable of charging eight vehicles simultaneously; 16 high speed charging hubs capable of charging four vehicles simultaneously; additional high power chargers at 34 current 50 kW locations; upgrading over 50 22 kW chargers to 50 kW, and replacing up to 264 locations with 528 charge points at the pre-existing pilot grade of 22 kW to next generation high reliability models.

Are you aggregating for site or just looking at the individual fast charging units? i'm assuming that you're not counting 22kW as a fast charger
Black_Knight wrote: » Good point. I'll double check. Are there examples of that I can check against? Basically each "balloon" point in the map which says 1 or 2 is what a site is. So I'd be looking for a balloon with 2 on it, and when you expand into it there a scp and fcp.

They are getting away lightly this year because of Covid restricting so much movement for most of the year (whether enforced or voluntary), but if Covid didn't happen, the (lack of) pace and (lack of) scale of their rollout would be so much more noticeable.. All I see in the future is more rework, more upgrades to catch up to demand, all eating up more funds... All the Tecso AC22's might see some early use for people who really need them, but it won't take long for folks to realise that there's cheaper and/or faster options out there.... (within a few years, they'll probably be replacing the Tesco AC's with DC units, when they realise that's where they can make a ton of money..)

The ESB should be focusing on building chargers in areas that aren't profitable but are needed for public utility, like rural towns centres, etc. That'd be better use of public money IMHO
