Interested in the kettle myself. I presume you can just get a rewards card at the counter and get the offer straight away? Also what kind of stocks do they tend to have, is it one of those offers to drag people in and then each store only gets a handful of each item?

There are probably specialist kettles you can get, like with a larger size element so there is less watt density on the element, or using it on an induction plate, the induction plate could have other uses for cooking too. Might cost more initially but save in the long run.

If you are burning through kettles, go to argos buy a decent kettle and take out the product insurance ~€5, when the kettle goes bust, bring it back and they'll replace it. With the new kettle buy the product insurance again and repeat.

The mother in law has been doing this for years!!

12 years and counting on a Kenwood kettle. I have to descale it every 3-4 months- and it looks like something out of a horror movie- but the damn thing works properly, every time, without fail. Bought a Russel Hobbs kettle- as the Kenwood was just so grotesque- went back to the Kenwood within a few weeks- when the Russel Hobbs gave up. Brought it back to DID for a refund- I didn't want another one.

Go for functionality rather than aesthetics, you'll regret it otherwise.

Used a spend 45 get 8 off voucher (added some messages), just opened it and also inside is a €15 voucher for pods from Dolce direct, have to order 4 boxes so probably pay a fiver for 4 boxes

Went back to my SuperValu they replaced it with a box with pods in it.

Jaysus these offers are usually pure fluff, but thats a great deal its practically giving them away.

€39 gets you the mini me machine, 4 boxes of starbucks pods (12 pods per box) and a €15 off voucher.

Logged on to their irish website and redeemed the voucher for another 4 boxes (2 starbucks and 2 dolce gusto) for €7.

The boxes alone are €6 each, for €47, I've got the machine and 8 boxes of pods (12/16 pods per box).
