Hope the mods don't mind a new thread, but I just want to see how many of us think Trump will beat Biden in Nov?
I think he just has so much of a populist ground swell and I wouldn't be surprised if 'external' participants get involved in the process.

Do you think he'll get reelected?
Where will that leave America?

The one Trump card he had was the economy pre-COVID, and now he’s essentially pissed that down the drain by stopping the talks for a Stimulus package.

As of right now, he’s toast and he’s going to bring the Republicans down with him, while leaving the economy in the **** for Biden to deal with.

There is no fathomable reason for Trump to not literally throw money into people’s pockets before an election, other than if he knows himself it’s done.

Things can change quickly though, but the stimulus abandonment is probably one of the dumbest plays I’ve seen any election candidate make in recent times.

Democrats want the BLM/Antifa votes otherwise they would have spoken about it in completely different terms.
For some reason Trump is expected to disavow extreme right movements but Biden/Kamala are not expected to do the same about extreme left movements, which in fact are causing all the trouble right now

It's not just about Biden winning, the Dems could turn the senate and biden could become one the most powerful presidents in recent history, which is not something imaginable a decade ago when he was obama's nice old white guy.

Christopher Wray could be about to have his Comey moment. I'm predisposed to be pessimistic these days given how 2020 has gone I hope this isn't something which undermines the Biden campaign.

Your point only makes sense if you believe people cannot hold two opinions at the same time, that they can sign up to be involved in a competition while at the same time believing the system is broken. The United States of America is a federal republic not a mass democracy and that was the intention of it's founders. Mostly they argued that democracy was an unstable form of government and they designed a system with 3 major branches to check the authority of the other which is why the power of the US president is really limited and cannot be autocratic.

The founders designed 3 branches of government and at this point all 3 are fundamentally broken. The founders had many other intentions, like not allowing women vote, slavery, and black people were worth 3/5 a person. They are far from perfect and their design of US democracy is also far from perfect.

Neither does democracy mean good or enlightened government, and in the context of modern politics it's meaning has changed by the people talking about it to mean progressive governments that enforce social justice and equity on all the people within its jurisdiction and beyond.

It says it all that your preference is for a minority to enforce inequality and to you the dangerous option is a majority providing equality.

Sad you have to keep posting it. Every single day its "the polls were wrong in 2016". They weren't wrong. They were within the margin of error. Which goes to show that anyone who says the polls were wrong hasn't the first clue about how a poll is calculated.

It is spite that has him taking issue with support for impacted cities that he sees as being 'blue states'. He can't stomach supporting them because they can't give him anything in return, despite the fact that as a total more people in large 'blue states' vote for him than in many smaller red states. Those people aren't a benefit to him so he simply doesn't care about him.
