Partly cloudy in north Kildare, owing to the shield of cloud from Alex which is visible to my east and south, together with some convective cumulus clouds about 20km to my west. Unbroken sunshine at my location though and a nice bit of heat from the sun in areas sheltered from the northerly breeze.

Today was better than expected in North Kildare. Mostly cloudy all day and still mostly cloudy but due to clear skies to me West, it has been almost unbroken sunshine for the past couple of
hours and the sun should be shining right up to sunset in about a half hour.

It's not often that i can say that I've had several hours of almost unbroken sunshine AND where its been mostly cloudy during the same period of time.
