I'm happy for you to labour over this because the point that bears stressing is that you are paying new car money for ancient technology. You'd be paying 20 times the purchase price for one of these as for a early to mid 2000s Clio and it is not appreciably better in any respect. Even at the price they're no bargain for anyone who knows what a bargain is. Either push the boat out a bit more and buy a discounted mainstream supermini or save your money and buy an older secondhand.
colm_mcm wrote: » Meh. Nothing of interest there. As you say the drivetrain is completely different. The Clio that got replaced in last year used the 1149cc engine too until 2017. New pair of jeans €50 Charity shop jeans €5

colm_mcm wrote: » No, upmarket means it appeals to the upper end of the market, and classy is a more subjective description which would suggest something is tasteful and stylish. It’s still a Dacia at the end of the day, it may be more stylish or upmarket, but it’s still the bottom end of the market.

I try to refuse a Dacia when offered as a rental car as I have booked a "Fiesta or similar". If I have to I ask to be downgraded to a Picanto, i10, Citigo or Up! because they're actually an upgrade from a Sandero in reality.
