Given it was corroborated by I think 4 sources, and Trump lied about the circumstances surroundingthe claim, I think he was right to point it out.

I only woke up about an hour ago, but the level of upsetedness (if that's even a word!?) by Trump supporters here and elsewhere gives me a strong impression that Trump lost and they are aware of it, even if they'll ramble at lengths to try and avoid facing up to the fact.

The FBI has said that the description of the proud boys being white nationalists was due to a misunderstanding. The SPLC classiefied them as an alt-right fight club. Their chairman looks a bit brown to be a white supremacists.

Trump has condemned white supremacists over and over and over again. It's a phony "question" which Wallace has asked him before. The liberal media have no interest in him condemning white supremacists as labeling him a wacist is much too important to them which is why they never repeat the times he has contemned white supremacists before.

"Proud boys step back and stand by" sounds more like approval and saying he'll call on them if he needs them. It is not a disavowal of any kind and he actively avoided saying "white supremacists".

Any of these "sources" on the record? Of course not.

Meanwhile we have Mike Pompeo, John Bolton and others (who were there) all saying it never happened.

And like I keep saying, would you and people like you accept an anonymous sources accusations story about Biden saying he called dead troops "losers"?

Of course you wouldn't but yet here you all are doing just that rather than have to admit that Biden is pushing salacious gossip whilst effectively using his deceased son as a prop to give his sanctimony a sense of legitimacy. It's abhorrent.

Proud Boys aren't White Supremacists and he's disavowed Duke and those who are.

Four years of trying everything to bring him down and now we're back to racist accusations.

Trump was asked about white supremacists generally, and immediately jumped to the proud boys. Why do you think that is?

So by that logic if they're not white supremacists, he couldn't even ask white supremacists to stand back. So didn't hit any level of being critical of them. That's making it worse rather than better, Pete. Although it sounds like Trump thinks the proud boys are. You doubting his intelligence?

This was predicted a few days ago. All those Trumpists must feel rather silly this morning that they swallowed the Biden has dementia angle so much. We won't see much from them this morning until the talking points are agreed and released later on.
