Hope the mods don't mind a new thread, but I just want to see how many of us think Trump will beat Biden in Nov?
I think he just has so much of a populist ground swell and I wouldn't be surprised if 'external' participants get involved in the process.

Do you think he'll get reelected?
Where will that leave America?

Whether they call them white suprematists, or deplorables the effect is the same the Democrats have lost the respect of working class Americans, becoming instead the party of billionaires and upper middle class professional classes and in the 4 years since the last election they have taken no action to win them back having concentrated their efforts on trying to oust an interloper from their power structure. The working class cuts across all race and hypenated-American groups in the United States and generally they don't come out to vote en-masse which is probably why the parties don't chase them and the polls miss them, In 2016 they came out from Trump, This is also why the Republicans lost control of the house of congress in the last midterm elections as when they vote for Trump, they check in from of the R for the other candidates and Trump was not on the ballot.

Several Republican members of Congress reacted to news of Covid risk in selling stock.
Trumps 500B stimulus bill was attempted to be pushed through with minimal oversight and which favoured many wealthy Trump supporters.
The USPS Director, Louis DeJoy has several business interests which are competitors to the USPS.

Of course, the Republicans view AOC, the young latino whose mother had to work 2 service jobs and who herself spent years as a bar tender as an elite so maybe it's just a simple misunderstanding of the term.

To be honest everything thats illegalis pretty much up.

The town council are demanding to know where are the police.

Surge in gun ownership
Surge in crime in major US cities
Surge in violent protests

Huge numbers of Americans afraid to express opinions publicly.

Their economy is starting to bounce back.

The economy and law and order are the two biggest issues in this election and the democrats are on the wrong side of both.

If the Covid Narrative gets away from them, the lockdowns and the cost thereof could very well destroy the party for at least a decade.
